The Man of the match vote for yesterday's game against Folkestone is now open please click the link below to cast your vote: -
Yesterday afternoon we came away from our trip to Folkestone with 3 points in the bag, It might not have been a free flowing game of football but at this stage of the season it's the point's that count.
The turning point of the game was a penalty award on 70 minutes to Folkestone but Andy Little was up to the task and saved what was a weak penalty. Then 2 minutes later Wales crossed the ball for Jolly to tap home from 3 yards. We could of made it 2-0 in the final seconds but the keeper managed to block Darlington's effort
This Afternoon we visit Folkestone and the matchday service will be in operation I will try and post team news by 14:45 and then all the action from 15:00, to follow the action click the matchday link above.

Another 1-1 draw today in a game that we should of had wrapped up before half time, but we are still in the playoff's 1 point ahead of Margate who visit Chelmsford next weekend. We are also only 3 points of current second place so it looks as if this will go right to the Wire.
The 4th Series of New Tricks starts tonight at 21:00 on BBC1 AFC Wimbledon fan Alun Armstrong who plays Brian Lane has a habit of showing AFC Wimbledon Merchandise or making reference to us so if your about it's a enjoyable programme.

I have now added the result for the Man of The Match vote from the 9-0 victory over Slough and you can view the result by clicking here.
This lunchtime we played at a 0-0 draw at Boreham Wood, it was a game of few clear cut chances with both teams hitting the cross bar and we had a chance in the last minute cleared from very close to the line. Neither team played badly but neither did enough to wrap up all the points.
So with our game completed we had to sit back and see what impact the afternoon games would have on the league table, the big result of the afternoon was that Margate drew 2-2 at Slough, Margate also had 2 players sent off and their suspensions will be served for the final weeks of the season, starting from 21 April 2007.

Yesterday saw two results of note in the Ryman Premier League first I watched Chelmsford put 4 past Hampton without reply and go top of the table. Then Bromley beat Ramsgate 3-1 so a victory today would see us move closer to a playoff position and maybe more.
To follow the action tonight click the Matchday link above and sit back and watch.

On Saturday afternoon we won 9-0 yes that's right by nine goals the goal scorers were as follows Howard X3, Ferguson, Wales, O'Leary, Cook, Jolly, R Butler. This has had a huge impact on our goal difference figure and may end up playing a major part in our final league position.
The Matchday service will be in operation this afternoon when we face already relegated Slough Town, lets hope we can continue what has been a good week on the pitch. To follow the action click the Matchday link above.

I'm sure this was the reaction that everyone had when you heard about the FA decision, most of us had come to well if we get X number of points deducted it will have been as fair as we can expect most people expected about 9 points so 3 points was amazing.
I spoke to about 6 people by phone on hearing the verdict and everyone just couldn't believe it. This hasn't been about 1 day this has been about a huge off the team effort a lot of it we most probably not know about but the public face has of course been Erik and then the brilliance of Jim Sturman.
Thanks needs to go to 10,000 people who signed the petition, and still rising so if you got anybody to sign it thank them for us. 86 Mp's signed an Early day motion and Tony Blair even gives it a few words of support at question time.
The media is obviously reporting this everywhere and here are a few bits from round the web: -

The EDM continues to do well and is now over 70 MP's having put their name to it, this might not sound like a lot but the un-written rule is that any EDM that gets more than 50 names on it has don very well.

The Lawrie sanchez evening last night was a great success, Lawrie spoke about all his playing and managing days, the highs and lows and what a special club we have. It was a great evening on the fund raising side of things as well with over £6,600 raised in the auction as well as additional money raised in the raffle, games and the event itself, well done to everyone involved in the event and especially to Lawrie.
The man of the match vote for Tuesday game against Carshalton has been added to the latest section of the man of the match page.
For the last few games subscribers to the club live goal services haven't been receiving the messages at matches, I have now identified the reason for this and it will be working as normal for the game on Saturday, the only problem is that existing subscribers will need to re-subscribe by texting Dons live to 60300 each message you are sent will cost you 25 pence each so please make sure you have the bill payers permission before subscribing, you can unsubscribe at any point by texting Dons live Stop to 60300
.As I type this it is highly likely we are passing the 3,000 mark on the E-petition it is current on 2,993 and large numbers are signing it every hour, keep the message going.
I have added thee Man of The Match result for the Margate game to the site and you can still vote for the Carshalton game.
The long awaited e-petition has now been launched although the proposal was sent to the 10 downing street web site but due to high demand for the service it has been held back, now it has been launched it is already almost inside the top 1,00 petitions with over 1,700 names on it less than 12 hours after it's launch. A huge drive is under way to try and get as many people as possible to add their name to this petition and it's very easy to do so, all you need to do is complete the details on this link once you have submitted the form you will be sent by e-mail a link to click to confirm the details and then your name is added to the list, send this to anyone you know who is over he age of 18 and lives in the UK and ask them to sign it. With a hearing date o 26th March now being set every name is important.
Tonight we beat Carshalton 2-0 at Kingsmeadow to return to the top of the table, the first goal was on 8 minutes and resulted from a corner and either a header by roscoe or the Carshalton number 5, their was no doubt on the second on 21 minutes when a bit of Steve Ferguson magic when he fired in a shot from somewhere between the touchline and the 18 yard box and over the keeper's head and under the bar.
We Played out the rest of the game and Lewis cook almost added to the score line but his free kick cannoned back off the crossbar with the keeper well beaten. The defence and keeper Paul Smith did what was needed of them to ensure we kept a clean sheet.

I'm sure you have been reading everywhere about please e-mail your MP to ask them to sign the Early Day Motion we have already seen he impact of local MP's where a number of them have signed up but yesterday I spent aa large part of the afternoon researching and e-mailing members of the All Party Football group and also members of the All Party Football Team, this afternoon I had an e-mail back from one of them who is based in the west Midlands confirming that they had now added their name to the motion so their is proof that at least one extra person has added their name to our campaign. So keep the e-mails going.
The Early Day Motion has so far been signed by 41 MP's, this is an opportunity for them to show support for us against the punishment that has been imposed on us whilst Jermaine Darlington played for us before the "International Clearance" was received.
Below I have produced a list of the MP's in South London (I will extend this ad it may end up having it's own page) who and if they have signed up, if your MP hasn't done so don't forget to send them an e-mail asking them to sign EDM 992. To e-mail your e-mail click here.

For the second time this season thee game between us and Margate finished 0-0 their were few clear cut chances for either side although Margate perhaps had the best of them when a quick hooked shot went over the bar and wide in the first half. I think the result was fair and showed two very well organised teams, with Chelmsford having their game called off and Bromley winning we dropped to 3rd but 1 point covers all three of us.
This afternoon we are due to face Margate in the league if you are going to the game remember that no trains are going to Norbiton today, if you cant make the game you can follow all the action on the Matchday service by clicking the links above the team news should be posted by 14:30 and then all the action from kick off at 15:00.
Tonight Erik was on Radio 5 talking about the west ham situation you can listen to the clip by clicking here.
On Saturday their will be a club raffle with the first prize being a signed match ball from the FA Trophy game against Gravesend & Northfleet, this has been donated by the match ball sponsors that day the Kent wombles. I will have more details on this tomorrow.
Last season I produced an excel spreadsheet that allowed you to enter the scores for the games involving the top 8 teams for the final 6 games well this year it's bigger and better I have now produced a spreadsheet that allows you to enter the results/ predictions for all the remaining games for the top 10 clubs it also allows you to enter a potential points deduction for us so you can see the difference that would make to the league table, the league table automatically updates as you enter the scores.
