The Man of The Math vote for yesterday's game is now open please click the link below to cast your vote, I am working on the current results's for the Boreham Wood game and they should be up very shortly, the result has now been uploaded and can been seen on either the latest result page. or the results page to see previous results as well.
Just a reminder the Man of The Match vote is currently open for the Boreham Wood game and will remain open until 18:00 tonight, I will put a message up when I have changed it to the Walton & Hersham one.
This afternoon we had another 1-1 draw at Walton & Hersham Walton took the lead on just 9 minutes when a quick snap shot beat Andy Little at the near post. This turned out to be Walton's only clear cut chance of the match but gave them their goal. We had a number of chances in the first half with Steve Wales having a number of chances but just being wide of the target on each occasion.
Early in the second half was the big talking point of the game as Scott Fitzgerald ran on to a ball and was central to the goal the keeper, the excellent Nick Gindre, came dashing out the box and just took scott's leg's away from him, he knew he was outside the box and therefore it couldn't be a penalty he went in feet first and took Scott down, Scot tried to get back to thee ball but the ref blew the whistle for a free-kick everyone expected a red card, including Nick Gindre who said afterwards he thought he was off. but the ref in his own little world just gave a yellow card. From the resulting free kick which Roscoe fired towards the top corner Gindre pulled off a good save.
Having changed the formation to 4-3-3 we continued to push forward but none of the chances would go in the net. Then in the final minute a throw from Paul Barnes allowed Mickey Haswell to cross the ball to the back post this was played across the goal and touched in from a yard by Wes Daly for our goal. Although this will be seen as another 2 points dropped we had the chances but at the moment seem unable to convert them lets hope that we solve this issue very soon. This afternoon the matchday service will be in operation, I hope to have the line up by about 14:45 but away games can always be hard to get all the details, and then from kick off at 15:00 all the action that takes place up to the final whistle.
Lets hope we can get on the winning trail again to make up for the two home draws we have had so far this season. The Man Of The Match vote will remain open until tomorrow night for the Boreham Wood game when the Walton & Hersham one will open.
This afternoon the AFC Wimbledon Ladies team were in action against Bristol City in the league as in our games at both half time and full time the home club must phone the score through to The Press Association (PA) who then ensure that this is passed on to new organisation's like BBC and Sky they then get the scores put onto their updates.
Checking the scores just after half time I noticed the ladies weren't doing to well but then by Full Time they appeared to have turned it round, it may turn out that both scores are wrong and it was really a 0-0 draw but if you click the link here you will see the half time score as the second from bottom score and then the full time score in line with the bottom picture on the right had side of the screen. *** Update - As feared the ladies did lose 7-0 and the BBC did correct this. on the vidiprinter ***
If your looking for books for school or any other items that students at school or university may need or any other items don't forget to have a look at amazon.co.uk and by clicking the link below any subsequent sales will see commission paid to the stadium fund.
Tomorrow afternoon we are back in action when we visit Walton & Hersham, if your going by public transport the nearest station is Walton-on-Thames and trains are direct from Wimbledon taking around 25 minutes, as you come out the station on the side you get trains back to London, cross the road and walk up the road where the pub is on the corner, Ashley Park Road, when you get to the roundabout Stompond lane will be on your right and the ground is on the right down that road.
The Man Of The Match vote for this afternoon's game is now open please click the link below to cast your marks, With a game on Monday afternoon this vote will remain open until Tuesday evening 18:00 when it will close and the vote for the Walton & Hersham match that is being played on Monday will be opened.
This afternoon we drew 1-1 with Boreham Wood in a game that didn't live up to the levels of the first two games of the season. A game of very few chances saw Scott Fitzgerald win a penalty when he was fouled in the box before Roscoe fired it home, and with just 20 minutes left it seemed that we could have the points won, but just 10 minutes later Andy Little made a fine save but was unable to block the rebound and the ball just made it's way over the line.
This afternoon the matchday updates will be in operation from around 14:30 it's the place you will usually find the first look at the line up and then from Kick off to final whistle al the action as it happens. If you haven't used the updates before click the Matchday link above and all the action will be in front of you.

Horsham beat Hendon 4-1tonight with all 4 goals coming from The Taylor's 3 for Jamie and 1 for Lewis, this game was moved from Saturday due to Horsham YMCA also being at home this weekend.
Thanks to an e-mail from a regular viewer it was bought to my attention that I haven so far explained how the various options for the Man Of The Match system came about, Well as you remember back when the world Cup was going on I ran a poll asking a few question about what people would like to see in the system, My initial suggestion was for a scoring system of 5-10 but following the answers below the current system was produced. I hope people will be happy with the version we have ended up with and it continues to be a success during the season.

The Man Of The Match vote for tonight's game against Ramsgate is now open please click the link below to cast your votes: -
Tonight we drew 0-0 with Ramsgate in a game that we played some really nice football but unfortunatley we couldn't find the back of the net. We used both wing backs really well and played the ball around to create space but none of the efforts we had could get that bit of luck and end up in the back of the net.
Tonight we play our first home game of the season when Ramsgate visit Kingsmeadow. Ramsgate got off to a good start at thee weekend when they beat Heybridge Swifts 2-0. so both side will be ken to have maximum points at the end of the night.
If you cant make the game you can follow all the action as it happens via the matchday service via the link at thee top of the screen, as soon as the line up is confirmed details will be posted and then all the action from kick off to the final whistle.
If you are attending the match and are a season ticket holder don't forget to bring your tickets along, the first game can always see people turning up thinking they have the ticket with them and the realise they have left it at home.

Well 3 points on the board after this afternoon's game, thanks to goals from Richard Butler in thee first half and then a calmly taken penalty in the second half taken by roscoe after Wes Daly had been fouled in the area.
Late on with Carshalton pushing to get back in the game they scored a goal and in the final minute had an effort cleared off the line to ensure that we went home with thee three points. In the first half we had a great chance for a goal when link up play saw Richard Butler play the ball to Byron Bubb and with Roscoe D'Sane having the freedom of Carshalton on the edge of the box and everyone waiting for the ball to be played to him Byron had a shot that went over, to say the Management team weren't happy with his selection would be an under estimation of their reaction.
So after all the pre-season games, which even I seem to think that has gone on for ages, we get down to the real stuff and the start of the League season.
I'm sure we will be making the short trip to Carshalton in large numbers this afternoon but for people who for one reason or another cant make the game the Matchday text updates will be in full operation from when the team line up is confirmed through to the final whistle. If you haven't used the matchday service before or just need a remind click the Matchday link at the top of the page and the page should automatically update every couple of minutes given you the most current news from the game.
On my return from the match I will be launching the new look Man of the Match vote which allows you to rate each player out of 10 as well as the Whole team's performance, Carshalton's and also the match officials if you wish.
Come on wombles let's hit the floor running and return with the 3 points.
If your traveling to the first league game of the season on Saturday away at Carshalton it is strongly recommended that you use public transport as the ground is in a residential area and parking will be very difficult.
By train you can get a train to Sutton and then change for Carshalton or the route that the route finder services are suggestion is from Mitcham Junction to Carshalton and trains are ever 15 minutes and it's a 6 minute journey. From the train station it's about a 5 minute walk to the ground.
As per last season if you can't make games and are away from your computer their is away to find out the score in any first team match and that is by sending a text message from your phone and by reply you will be sent the current score, half time score or full time result. the full details are as follows: -

This season out of the 22 clubs in the league 16 of them were in the league last season, 3 teams were relegated, 2 were promoted and 1 was moved sideways. So If we based last years league table on just the points picked up against the teams that are in the division both this year and last year how would it end up? Well below I have done just that and at the end added how many points each team got in total and what percentage the points made up in the total.

This doesn't cost you anything more and as well as you getting a nice item the ground fund also benefits.
Yesterday afternoon we lost 5-4 on penalties following an un-eventful 0-0 draw against Kingstonian. The whole day both on and off the pitch had a feel of let's get pre-season out of the way and on with the real stuff.
Richard Butler played for the final 20 minutes and seemed to show touches of his old self and also scored one of thee penalties. So now Dave has 2 training sessions to work out his starting squad and that is going to be a job and a half as we have so many good players.
This afternoon the last full first team takes places before the league season get's under way next Saturday, Full match updates will be being provided direct to this site from once the team news is confirmed through to final whistle. If you haven't used the service yet click the matchday link above and you can read back of all the messages that have been submitted.
You can always tell when the Season is just over a week from starting and that is when the call for Operation Season Ticket goes out, and tonight a large chuck of the Season Ticket's were packed and ready for dispatching by Royal Mail tomorrow and therefore should be with people early next week.
As you can imagine issuing over 1,000 season tickets is a large operation which must be planned and carried out with thorough detail. As usual the work is carried out by volunteers and it's great working with everyone within the team. Some are people that can help out on regular basis or some who just help at Season ticket time, so a big thanks to everyone involved and I am sure all of you who have applied for season tickets are looking forward to them arriving and an exciting season ahead, and if you haven't yet applied and wish to please see the official site to download a form and send it in so that your ticket arrives before the start of the season.
Tuesday night saw a good win against Croydon Athletic as we enter the final stages of Pre-season, a Free Kick from Mickey Haswell, caught thee keeper out who managed to drop it into the back of the net, and then a good strike from Byron Bubb from outside the area saw us 2-0 up before half time, before the break paul Barnes could of made it 3-0 but somehow hit the post.
A number of changes were made in the second half but a determined run by Paul Barnes made sure he ended on the score sheet and then an own goal by Croydon saw us get 4 goals on the night, the Ram's goal was a great free kick by Gareth Graham but the exercise as a whole was very worthwhile.
The link up play between Bubb, De 'Sane and Paul Barnes was very good and had Croydon Athletic in various problems. In fact we could of had a lot more goals but from another good display from ex Whyteleafe goal keeper James Westerall. So now we play Kingstonian in the last pre-season game before the league get's under way on Saturday week.
With the penultimate pre-season game taking place tonight you can of course follow the action from Croydon Athletic Vs AFC Wimbledon tonight with the action getting under way shortly before kick off. To follow the action please click the matchday link above and the page should update automatically every few minutes.

Well I thought it was time I updated the site ready for the new season, but as a lot of you will know every first team pre-season match has had live matchday updates and this will continue for every game I am at during this season.
Toward's the end of this week I will be announcing details of a raffle that will have 2 prizes one for people that take part on-line and one for people that take part offline, so please look out for this as it will be only open for a couple of week's and would like as many people as possible to take part.
As you will notice a few thing's have changed, a couple of thing's have been added but on the whole the site is the same and hopefully for the new season will be as popular as it has been for the past7 years!
Within the fixtures list I have now also added a calendar, which for the moment you can view by clicking here, so you can see any games that are coming up I have colour coded the venues so Blue is Home and Yellow is away.
The Man Of The Match vote will also be different this season with you getting the chance to rate each individual player, the team, and if you wish the other team and the match officials. The first time that this will be used is for the Carshalton Game on Saturday 19th August, thanks to everyone who gave feedback in the poll it has helped in shaping how it will look.
A few more changes may take place over the week, nothing major just making sure that everything that should work does.Although the site hasn't been updated over the past 2 month's the Amazon shop has continued to do good business and all proceeds are passed directly on to the Stadium fund. If you shop at amazon but haven't used the link on the site before it's all very easy, all you need to do is click one of the links on the site and then shop as normal once you have completed your order commission is added to the account which is all directly passed on, it doesn't cost you anything extra and is a simple way to contribute towards the stadium fund.
The world cup seems a long time ago now but just like to say a big thanks to everyone who took part in the scorecast competition which raised a decent amount of money for the Stadium fund.
Somehow, I don't know how, but I managed to come second with one of my series of selections, the rest said about the other two the better. I have already been informed that a similar competition will take place for the Euro final's in 2008 so if you want to advance plan your score's you have a just under 2 years to get the final result ready.
