Well not relax but maybe have a bit more patience, in the excellent South London Press today he talks about the recent run of form that the club have been going through, the interview can be read online by clicking here and let's take on board some of the comments that Frankie makes.
Last night the Senior Youth side progressed 3-0 in a end to end game of football. We were always in control of the game following an early Steve Tyson goal from Corner and then in second half Niall Connery and Herbert Seudieu wrapped up the scoring. Seven of the starting 11 were 16 or under with the other 4 being from last years under 18 team.
In the next round scheduled for the week of 10th October we visit Sandhurst Town who on Wednesday night beat Thatcham Town 1-0.
The FA Youth Cup game kicks off at Kingsmeadow tonight with a 19:45 Kick off. If you cant make the game tonight I will be posting updates via the Matchday link above.
With the draw having already been made for future rounds the winners of tonight's game will know that they face a trip to Sandhurst Town, in the next round.
On Saturday we face the first game in what we always knew looks on paper a very Tough month we face 8 games 7 in the League and one in the FA Trophy, the league games include the four teams in the top 8 who we haven't played yet, Heybridge, Hampton away whilst Fisher and Billericay also visit Kingsmeadow. With the return trip to Bromley and a highly anticipated home game against Wealdstone
As I am sure you read just like all of us Dave, the management team and players were all disappointed about the performance and result on Saturday so let travel to Heybridge on Saturday and show the lads our support.
If you fancy going by coach contact the club and book on it price is £13 for Adults and £7 for Concessions and Under 16's and will leave Kingsmeadow at 11:00.
On Thursday night the senior Youth team play their first home FA Cup game when they take on Erith & Belvedere in a game that kicks off at 19:45 at Kingsmeadow. Under FA Cup rules an entrance price has to be charged and this has been kept to a minimum of £3 for Adults £1 for concessions and Kids are free so come along and show the lads some support.
Just wanted to say sorry for no updates over the last few days but I have been very busy and a few Internet problems at home but I think these are all resolved now and so we should be back to normal.
This afternoon we had our most disappointing game under Dave Anderson which ended with a 3-0 defeat against Walton & Hersham. Walton have now gone 6 games without conceding a goal so when they went 1-0 up after 10 minutes it was looking difficult and then on 30 minutes 2-0 looked like big problems. Walton's 3rd goal came in the final minute. Nobody enjoy's these results but they are all part of football. So next week we go to Heybridge and aim to get the results back on track, and going on post match comments we could see a few changes.
A few of the FA Cup results from today games. -
Fisher 2 Tonbridge 3 - Bromley 2 Chipstead 1 - Hendon 0 Met Police 0 - Sutton United 2 Maldon Town 0
Wroxham 2 Slough Town 0 - Hampton & Richmond 1 Leatherhead 1 - Redbridge 2 Eastbourne Borough 2
This afternoon we play Walton & Hersham in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup the Matchday service will be under way from 14:30 with the team news and then all the action as it happens. You can access the matchday service by clicking the Matchday link at the top of the page.
One league game is taking place today and it's a strange one as the game was scheduled for the end of the season but with both clubs out of the FA Cup it has been bought forward to today. The game in question is East Thurrock Vs Billericay and you can see the Head To Head guide here With us taking on Ryman Premier opposition I have put the details up here. In the past week we have both played Worthing this of course was an excellent opportunity for Walton to watch both teams last weekend. Lets hope we can bring in our form from the midweek game at Redbridge and memories of the last cup game between the two teams at the end of last season.

This after noon the Under 19's League season got under way when the had a 2-2 draw with AFC Newbury, although the team is made up of players from NESCOT students who are undertaking a combined football and education programme it was two of last years Under 19's who scored the goal's.
After being on top in the first half we fell behind on 40 minutes but managed to go into the break level when Niall Connery, who is also a NESCOT student scored on 44 minutes.
Just after the hour mark AFC Newbury took the lead again but the scores were tied on 80 minutes when Antony 'Freddie' Myers scored. This is good experience for the squad and lets hope that they all learn things on and off the pitch and we could see a few of them in the future progressing into the Senior teams.
The Man Of The Match Poll is now open please click below to vote for the Man of The Match against Redbridge.
Tonight we got back to winning ways with a very committable 3-0 victory over Redbridge it was a game that we wrapped up in the first 30 minutes following goals, from Shane Smeltz, who got the 11st and 33rd and Barry Moore who has now scored in the last 3 games. With the points in the bag we could relax and managed to get through the game without any more injuries before the big cup game at the weekend,

The best way to get to the game at Redbridge on Tuesday night is via tube to Barkingside station and the ground is opposite the station. Barkingside station is on the Central line and in zone 5. From Bank station it takes around 30 minutes and looks fairly straight forward to get to.
Tonight Top of the table and the only team to have won every game this season Hampton & Richmond visit Fisher athletic who are one of the teams expected to possibly win the league, Fisher are ground sharing at Dulwich Hamlet and I will be attending and will be supplying goal updates and any major incidents on the matchday service via the link above, with us playing both these teams in the next month it will be a good chance to have a look at them.
At the end of this month the current reporting period comes to an end and therefore a payment will be being made to the stadium fund shortly after we are very close to hitting a trigger figure that means not only will commission from that item sold would be paid but all previous commission learnt in the month would be increased so it would be nice to hit this. If your looking at buying any items please click the amazon link on any page and have a look to see if any items take your fancy. Remember all commission goes directly to the stadium fund so you get a bargain and the stadium fund gains as well.
The Head to head section has been updated for the 10 games taken place this midweek including the Monday night game between Fisher Athletic and Hampton & Richmond, please click the head to head link at the top of the page.
The Man Of The Match Poll is now u and running and I have had to revert back to the backup version as the main system doesn't seem to be work this morning. The poll will remain open until I get back from Redbridge on Tuesday night. To vote please click the link below: -
Yesterday afternoon we suffered our first defeat of the season when we went down 2-1 against Worthing to a last minute goal from Sam Francis. Late goals seem to be a fashion this season sometimes it's the end of the first half and other like the last two games it's the end of the second half.
Worthing took the lead from a free header following a corner, as you would expect in this division they were a very well organised and fast team on the whole we seemed to contain the worthing attack and in the second half we seemed to be slightly on top.
For the second game running Barry Moore scored a cracking free kick from the edge of the box and with 12 minutes left it looked like the points would be shared but Sam Francis had the final say after his many goals for Withdean in the 2002/03 season he scored against us again and the points went to the south coast.
This afternoon we return to league action when we take on Worthing FC. Worthing have Sam Francis up front who some people may remember played for Withdean 2000 in the 2002/03 season.
This afternoon Radio Wdon will be in operation as well as the text updates so if you cant make the game and not near a machine with audio click on the matchday link about and follow the action as it takes place. Team news should be available from around 14:30 with all the action starting at around 15:00.

This evening we booked a place in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup when on Saturday 24th September we play hosts to Walton & Hersham. Like Saturday we managed to score twice but this time also keep a clean sheet. The first goal came on 11 minutes when the returning Richard Butler scored a lovely goal smashing the ball just under the bar from waist height following a sonny Farr cross.
The second goal came in the 88th Minute with Barry Moore firing a free kick into thee top corner from the edge of the box. A lovely way to seal the game. It was a very physical game and Lee passmore was dismissed following 3 very bad challenges and then with just a minutes or so left to play Richard Butler was helped off the pitch after being clattered by the keeper. Lets hope he is ok for Saturday's game.

If you visited Weirdandwonderfulworld.com at shortly after 17:00 BST you would of seen a message from webmaster Marc Jones explaining that the message board was now closed. Marcs reasoning was that he couldn't spend the time monitoring the board that was needed.
The site was one of the first site's i ever used and Marc has assisted me over the years with the running of this site, so a big thanks to him and I am sure it will be missed. Their is talk already of a replacement board being set up but in the meantime people are more than welcome to use my message board especially during the matchday updates tomorrow night.

The drama of the FA Cup certainly has some up's and down but with time almost up on the clock and Ashford trailing by 1 goal the award of a corner saw their keeper come up to the edge of the center circle and he seemed a bit undecided if to venture into the other box but when the ball went out for another corner the though that he had just as far to go back to his goal as he did the one they were attacking saw him head up field, when the ball came over it may have been a case that the Ashford keeper caused a bit of confusing but another Ashford player managed to head the ball into the back of the net. The ball was placed for kick off touched forward and the full time whistle was blow. Everyone was disappointed but the lads must go out and prove we haven't forgotten how to win.
Our first goal of the afternoon followed a Sonny Far run he came into the box shot which came back off the keeper and back to him for another this time his shot rebounded off the keeper straight to Wes Daly who managed to fire it into the back of the net.
Straight from the start of the second half we won a throw Wayne Finnie Launched it into the box and the Ashford players allowed it to bounce and Steve Butler was on hand to head home. Ashford's first goal came on 71 minutes when following ex womble Andy Frost being fouled on the edge of the box the ball was crossed to the back post and headed in.
So both teams go into Monday's draw and will clash again on Tuesday evening.
This afternoon we start our FA Cup campaign when we take on Ashford Town (Middx) we of course met in pre-season when we drew 1-1 if you cant make the game the ever popular Matchday Service will be in operation, things get under way from around 14:30 once I have the team news. Click the link above for Matchday and you will be able to follow the action as it happens.

With our strikers down to the bare bones at present Dave Anderson is out looking for a Ryman Premier Quality striker although he may have taken a couple of hours away from this to watch a game on TV, which he may well have enjoyed.
To sign a player who is registered with another club you first have to approach the club to ask permission and then you can talk to the player if the player wishes to join the existing club then has 7 days to discuss the situation with that player if thee player still wishes to join a new club he then can. It would appear that this was the route that we appear to have taken with regards to Hendon FC "Eugene Ofori" Hendon said we could talk to the player but it is suggested that Braintree Town had already discussed terms with the player and he has signed for them. Hendon are disappointed about the way the player and Braintree, Hendon FC web site all says that although the player was suggested to be injured on Tuesday night it was a case that he didn't turn up for the game.
I'm sure that dave will continue his search to help the team and give all strikers a chance to have rests during what will be a busy season.

Following last nights 1-1 draw with Bromley the Man of The Match poll is now open please click below to vote: -
The result of Saturday's poll at East Thurrock will be posted tonight.Tonight we take on Bromley in league action but most managers would probably be happier if the game was a seven aside game as both teams are suffering with injuries. Bromley of course came up from the Ryman's Division 1 play-offs last year and we had two very interesting games with them last season the first was a 1-1 draw away and then at Kingsmeadow a cracker of a game when we came away with a 1-0 victory.
The updates should get under way from around 19:30 and can be accessed via the matchday link in the top menu bar.
A couple of Fund raising ideas that are always taking place at home games are the collection in the back bar at the Dons Trust table of old foreign coins and note, This includes currency that is no longer in circulation like French Francs, Old printer cartridges and also old mobile phone handsets, all of these items are recycled one way or another and produce fund for the ground fund so if you have any of these at home or work bring them along to the back bar at a home game and they will be greatly taken off your hands.
If your looking t buy something new don't forget the Amazon shop link on each page where after clicking the link any purchase results in a commission being paid to the club.
One other Sponsorship method that deserves a shout after the weekend game is the Annual 'kent womble' organised Sponsor Frankie's goals supporters ledge money for each time Antony Howard scores a goal and at the end of the season it is paid to the Stadium fund. Last year Frankie scored 4 goals and raised £400 for the stadium fund. So far pledges for this season stand at £84.00 to be part of the group send an email to RayArmfield@aol.com with your name and amount of pledge.
The Man Of The Match poll for today's game is now open please click below to vote, the vote will remain open until Tuesday evening when we play Bromley in league action.
After a disappointing first half included one of the strangest own goals you will see after only 2 minutes from Wes Daly we seemed to get back into the game and a nice finish from Antony Howard saw us level the score, we had a number of further opportunities including one in the closing minutes from shane Smeltz but he managed to hit it wide.
We came out the game with some more injuries but this could be a game at the end of the season where this ends up being a valuable point or two points dropped.
The upset of the day in the results was Fisher's 2-0 defeat at Staines so maybe our draw earlier in the week was a good result after all.
This early afternoon we take on East Thurrock in a 13:00 kick off the team news and updates will begging from around 12:30 and you can follow the action by clicking the matchday link in the top menu.
East Thurrock are a bit of an unknown but they have a number of well known players so could end up being one of the surprise teams in the Ryman Premier division this season.
The poll has now closed and thanks to everyone who voted the result can be seen below: -
1 - Wayne Finnie 22 Votes 43.14%

On Saturday we have the lunchtime kick off (13.00) at East Thurrock so don't forget to set off earlier than you would normally would do so if you are traveling by train the route is an over ground train from West Ham to Stanford-Le-Hope trains depart West Ham at 29 minutes and 59 minutes past the hour and takes 440 minutes to Stanford-Le-Hope so you would need to get the 11:29 to make the kick off as it's about 2 miles from the station to the ground.
A map of the route from the station to the ground can be found by clicking here.
