Vote for Man of the Match

30/04/05 - Walk Completed

Congratulations to the walkers who completed the route to Burgess Hill Today a brilliant effort by all of them.

30/04/05 - Burgess Hill Matchday Service

Last game of the season and a chance to rest a few players before Tuesday night's cup final, give a few of the future prospects a run out and celebrate another spectacular AFC Wimbledon season, I seem yo have said that 3 years running now, well anyway at the moment the update service is bringing you updates from the Walkers as they get nearer and nearer to Burgess Hill, but from 14:30 the service will return to it's usually service of providing live updates from the game, so if you cant make the game keep an eye out and you will know the score within a few seconds of events taking place.

If you haven't used the updates before click on the matchday link at the top of the page and you will see everything going on.

30/04/05 - Up's & Down's

As we go into the last day of the season a lot of places are still to be decided in next years pyramid, so lets look at the three divisions that are likely to effect us next season assuming we remain in the Isthmian League next season.

Ryman 1 - Us and Walton are promoted and Horsham and Cray have got play off places and the other two places in the play off are between Bromley, Leatherhead and Met Police with Bromley and Met Police looking favorites. At the lower end of the table Anything but a win for a win for Dorking and they will be in one of the bottom two paces at the end of season,

Ryman Prem - Yeading are Champions and will move into Conference South next season the play offs will be contested by Billericay, Eastleeigh and two from Braintree, Hampton & Richmond or Leyton. At the other end of the table Kingstonian, Dover and Tonbridge Angles have all been relegated and the last place is between, Chesunt, Harrow Borough or Wealdstone.

Conference South - It's the lower end that concerns us as two of the relegated teams will be in the Ryman Premier league next season. Redbridge and Margate have been relegated and anything other than a win for Carshalton will see them relegated, but if they do win Maidenhead or Newport County would be relegated as they both play each other, so a win for Carshalton at Eastbourne would mean Maidenhead would need to win to relegate Newport County.

I will update the outcomes of this after today's games.

29/04/05 - Leaving On A Jet Plane

So we have some people going to Burgess Hill by Coach some by open top bus, some mad people walking and one person flying, I think he's cheating really but when you consider he is leaving Los Angles in the early hours of Saturday morning to arrive in London at Saturday Lunchtime. Yes Folks the one and only Dave Hambly is coming to Burgess Hill and the cup Final on Tuesday Night. Dave Better known as SoCalDon and instigator of Dons Diet will see the Dons Twice this season and only the first time since his trip to see us Play Feltham in January 2003.

Have a great trip day and see you at Burgess Hill.

28/04/05 - U18 Crash Out

The under 18's tonight crashed out of the Southern Youth League cup when they lost 5-1 to Sutton. We were always on the back foot and went in at half time 3-0 down our goal came from Bradley Drake to make the score 4-1, so the normal double is out the window and we just have the Champions trophy to play for now. Which starts next week when we play Lewes at Kingsmeadow in the semi final.

27/04/05 - 45 Miles To Burgess Hill

45 miles doesn't sound far when you are going by train, car or coach but if you are doing what a group of AFC Wimbledon fans are doing 45 Miles is a long way to Walk! yes that's right Walk!

Looking at the map click here (Not seen googles UK Maps before? no you wont even find them on the google home page, zoom in and out and use the cursor at the top it's very smart.) the walkers wont be following this route, as when they set off on Friday, they will be heading towards Dorking where they will be resting there feet over night before completing the final part of the journey on Saturday morning, so if you see any of them on Friday Saturday give them a cheer, They are also raising funds for the Stadium fund for more details on the journey click here. And good luck to the walkers.

27/04/05 - Under 18's Thursday

On Thursday evening the Under 18's are in Semi Final cup action against Sutton United in the Southern Youth League Cup.

After being part of the celebrations on Saturday I know the under 18 squad were really proud and enjoyed the day so come along to Kingsmeadow and see the lads in action. Admission is free and the game should start at 19:30.

26/04/05 - Shop Open Tonight

Tonight from 18:00 to 20:00 the club shop at Kingsmeadow will be open and a chance to buy Flags and other merchandise, it possible they will also have cup final tickets on sale for the game that is jut a week away and already 1,310 tickets have been sold for the big game. so make sure you are part of the great evening.

26/04/05 - Amazon proceeds

I know I plug the Amazon Link regularly but the people at Amazon have just paid me the money from Commission thee first quarter of this year, and a Cheques for £76.39 will be passed on to The Dons Trust. This will mean in the past 6 months £225 has been raised via the link. So thanks to everyone who have bought things and at the same time helped the Stadium Fund.

26/04/05 - Golden Goals Report

The 3rd season of Golden goals has come to an end and after Saturday's game this season has seen £14,402 raised for the stadium fund and brings the total over the 3 years to £43,484 that is an incredible effort and a huge thanks to everyone who buys tickets and most of all to the Sellers and Roger & Linda Dennis who produce the tickets for each and every home game.

25/04/05 - U15 & Reserves Off

The big day for the Under 15's had to be put on hold for a bit longer as the overnight and this morning's heavy rain meant both the Kingsmeadow and Merland Rise pitches were under water. The next scheduled game at Kingsmeadow is the Under 18's Youth Semi Final at Kingsmeadow.

25/04/05 - Under 15's Clash Tonight

After the brilliant success of the weekend with 4 league cup finals tonight will see a showpiece event for the under 15's league. In the West Surrey Youth League both the AFC Wimbledon Youth and AFC Wimbledon Colt's play in the same division, the Premier League and as it stands the Champions will be between one of our sides. The teams play 22 games in a season and the current standings are as follows: -

TEAM PLY WON DREW LOST FOR AGI PTS

So for the Youth Side to win the league they need to win all three remaining games. When the teams met earlier in the season the score finished 1-1. As a reward for such a brilliant season the match tonight is being played on the Kingsmeadow pitch. This could also be a chance for a few of the lads to get ready for next season when they could be in the under 18's squad.

Two games are being played on the pitch I'm not sure what the other one is but one of them starts at 18:00 and the other at 19:45 hopefully the official site will have confirmed information on kick off times.

24/04/05 - Cup finals Update

As I type this the Under 14's are in action and are at present 2-1 up as at 15:14. Correction 15:15 now 3-1 up. but it has already been a stunning day first up the under 12's won 2-1 then the ladies completed an excellent 2-1 victory over Chelsea to win the surrey Cup (update under 14's now 4-1 up at 15:17) the Under 13's had a 6-1 victory so it looks like we will have an extra 4 trophies in the cabinet at the ned of the day.

Full Time Update - AFC Wimbledon 8 (EIGHT) Meadow Sports 3 - We ended up 5-1 up at half time but Meadow scored two quick goals early in the second half to make the score 5-3 but then we found our scoring boots again and we scored 3 more goals.

24/04/05 - Five Aside Tournament

The 3rd AFC Wimbledon Five a-side tournament is now open for entries. It is once again being organised by Mark Lewis. The format will be 8 groups of 4 teams and it cost £60 to enter a team.

It will bee taking place at Price George's Playing Fields in Raynes Park on 1th June 2005 from 10:00 to 16:00 the event always fills up quickly so for an application form and to guarantee your place contact Mark lewis by e-mail.

24/04/05 - Amazon Shop

Don't forget if you are looking to buy things have a look round the amazon shop as clicking the link on the left will see proceeds raised for the stadium fund, and it doesn't cost you anything extra either.

24/04/05 - Cup finals Day

Good luck today to the 4 sides we have in cup finals today, The ladies take on chelsea in the Surrey Ladies cup with a 10:30 kick of, so in about 30 minutes time. At youth level we have three sides playing at finals day at Walton Casuals ground and the games are as follows: -

10.00 AM Under 12's Vs Sunbury Celtic
12.15 PM Under 13's Vs Hersham FC
2.30 PM Under 14's Vs Meadow Sports
If any scores come through I will put the scores on here.

23/04/05 - A Butler Needed

Well if not a butler, to open the door for him, Richard Butler may well need someone to polish the silverware after what he took home tonight, he was declared the winner of The Junior Dons Award, The Young Player Of The Year, The Player Of The Year and The Players Player of the year. Whilst these were all presented to Richard on the pitch at various points during the day, I caught up with Richard after the game as he was loading the car and presented him with "The 2004/05 itmustbedons.com player of the year award" the full result will be on display on Sunday but as I said to Richard when I presented it to him,

"Wimbledon fans don't usually pick strikers for Player of the year so this isn't just about your goals you have scored it to do with your complete game"

Can anyone remember thee last striker to have won a player of the year award because checking with a few supporters no one can really remember it. Thanks to everyone who voted in this years poll.

23/04/05 - What A Way To Celebrate

The last home game of the season saw a very comfortable victory over Cray Wanderers with a 3-0 score line, keeping Cray to a shut out is a great achievement as they are the leagues leading scorers with 94 goals this season.

We took the lead on 7 minutes when Rob Ursell was fouled by the keeper and Ryan Gray dispatched the penalty, this seemed to relax everyone and we were 2-0 up before half time after Shane Smeltz scored on 37 minutes.

With richard Butler starting on the bench after having been out recently he was soon to be involved in the second half, and ten minutes in o the half he was called upon. and with 15 minutes he had scored his 24 league goal of the season to put us 3-0 up with the game more than safe we could all celebrate a brilliant season, before the presentation of all thee sides and what a brilliant sight it was and a stunning reminder of what has been achieved over the past few seasons.

23/04/05 - 23/04/05 Presentations Day

This afternoon it's time for the last home game of the season when we take on a team who could be joining us in the Ryman premier League next season if they come through the play off's. Cray Wanderers have been a strange team this season a team very difficult to beat but at one stage looked like they would finish mid table with so many draws.

With the championship in the bag, and a cup final just over a week away it's a chance for us to celebrate a brilliant season.

As well as the match against Cray we have plenty of presentations taking place so don't rush off after the game stick around and show your support for all our teams, From the youngest like the under 8's through to the Under 18's and Ladies teams, and then it's party time in the bars.

If you cant make the match the text updates will be in operation from around 14:30 with team news and then updates through the afternoon.

22/04/05 - Saturday Predictions

Below are the fixtures for tomorrows penultimate day of the season and some important games involving the play-off places and also the relegation places.

A win for Newport over bottom place Croydon would almost secure "The Ports" Division 1 place, while at the other end of the table both Leatherhead and Tooting will be hoping that results go their way and could sneak a play-off place.

My usual prediction programme isn't working so it's time for me to put my head on the block and predict the outcomes of each game.

22/04/05 - Under 18's Progress To Semi Final

On Thursday evening the Under 18's beat Croydon Athletic 5-0 in the quarter finals of the Cup and will now play sutton United in the semi final next Thursday at Kingsmeadow. This was a game that Croydon athletic were not happy about playing as they apparently had 5 players missing due to a county game but the league said it had to be played.

Thee first game the under 18's played was against sutton and we were beaten 5-0 but it's fair to say the side has come on loads since that summer day.

21/04/05 - Cartridges, Coins & Phones

This saturday is the last obvious time before the pre-season games to hand in any old printer cartridges, old mobile phones and the loose change boxes you may have at home or work, so bring them to the Dons Trust table in the back bar and they will be greatly received.

If you do have any after this date, I am sure they will be collected at the family fun day over the summer, so don't forget to keep collecting them over the close season.

21/04/05 - Close Season Football

The season may be coming to an end but it doesn't mean a total shut down before pre-season starts as I am sure you are aware New Zealand take on Australia in london in June but a game that has caught the eye is taking place in May and could be of interest to some AFC Wimbledon fans.

It's being hosted by Northwood FC with the proceeds being passed on to Macmillan Cancer Association, thee full details are as follows.

Northwood FC is delighted to be staging a Charity Match in aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief which will take place at Chestnut Avenue on Saturday 14th May 2005. The game will be between an ALL-STAR PROFESSIONAL X1 and a NON-LEAGUE DREAM TEAM and will kick-off at 2.00 p.m.

Subject to any late unavailability the following stars of the professional ranks have confirmed that they will take part:
Watfords Richard Lee, Jay DeMerit (ex-Northwood) and Jermaine Darlington, QPRs Martin Rowlands and Mark Bircham plus Kevin Gallen and Lee Cook, Reading's Les Ferdinand, Hull City's former Hendon midfielder Junior Lewis, Leicester City's Jordan Stewart Burnley's Frank Sinclair and Ade Akinbiyi
Wolves' Joleon Lescott, Gillingham's Barry Ashby and Andy Hessanthaler, Swindon's Sam Parkin, Millwall's Andy Impey (currently on loan from Nottingham Forest), Plus ex-Spurs pros Justin Edinburgh and Brian Statham who currently manage Ryman Premier sides Billericay Town and Heybridge Swifts.

From the non-League world, the following players are also expected to take part:
AFC Wimbledon's Chris Gell and Robert Ursell - Wealdstone's Richard Jolly and Richard Morton plus former Stone Steve Bircham, Northwood's own Gavin Hart and Fergus Moore plus ex-Northwood striker Steve Newing, Hendon's Richard McDonagh, Hayes' Yiadom Yeboah and Matt Gray Windsor & Eton's Peter Holsgrove and Paul Holsgrove, Plus further players from the ranks of Hornchurch and Billericay Town - to be advised shortly

After the match there will also be an auction of football memorabilia kindly donated by Arsenal, Chelsea, Watford, QPR, Fulham, Spurs and David Beckham.. Tickets are on sale and available now at the cost of £10.00 for adults and £5.00 for Children (Under-16). Cheques should be made payable to Macmillan Cancer Relief and sent, along with a large Stamped Addressed Envelope to

Alan Evans, Secretary - Northwood Football Club, 46 Webster Gardens, Ealing, London, W5 5ND. Alternatively, cash buyers can pick up tickets from the clubhouse on any Saturday between now the date of the game.

As you can see a number of high profile names are due to be present and a chance to see a few players we could be up against next season in the Ryman Premier division.

20/04.05 - Flags and Tickets

With the Cup final under two weeks away the merchandise team have announced details of 2 flags that are now available, the first is similar to last years design but the second is a lot larger (5 foot by 3 foot) blue and yellow checkered design. The larger flag will only be on sale after the Cray game, but the smaller version will be on sale before the game as well as on Thursday night, when cup final tickets will also be on sale. On Thursday night the Under 18's were due to play Croydon Athletic in the quarter Finals of the cup but for some strange reason the game has been moved to Croydon Athletic's ground, this could yet again change back to Kingsmeadow so keep an eye on the official site for any news if the venue is changed again.

20/04/05 - 3rd Kit

The official site has the shortlist for next season's 3rd kit, it looks like next season will see us play against three teams who wear yellow and blue home kits so may be seen more a few times. To see the five candidates click here

1904/05 - Play-off battle

Tonight Bromley were playing Met Police in a game that the winner would almost be guaranteed a play-off place alongside Horsham and Cray. As soon as I know the result I will update the league table and put the score on here. The main table has been updated following a 1-1 draw. Ashford beat Bashley 4-1 tonight and move out the drop zone.

19/04/05 - Player Of The Year Update

Just an update as you will be aware the voting for the itmustbedons.com player of the year vote closed a few weeks ago and the trophy with the players name has arrived this will be handed over on Saturday and the result announced on either Saturday evening or Sunday morning. A big thanks to everyone who voted.

19/04/05 - Pre-Season?

As the season comes to an end thoughts are already turning to pre-season games and Crawley Town Football club of the Conference are reporting that we will play them in a pre-season game at Crawley on Tuesday 9th august 2005 this hasn't been confirmed on our official site but it may be a date to keep an eye out for. The important date is Saturday 20th August when the league season starts. The league is starting later next season and more midweek games will be played, this is apparently to help clubs who pay players on a weekly rate and will therefore reduce the salary bill.

18/04/05 - Everstrong Chart

The news from yesterday's chart may have seemed to have been disappointing with Everstrong being declared at number 73 but the brilliant news is that in the Indie chart they reached number 9 beating a number of well known bands, well done to all the Everstrong crew and also Cornish Blue music and remember that every sale saw money going towards the stadium fund so it was good news all round. With them doing so well in the Indie chart there is the possibility some radio stations may pick up on them and some air play could take place this week.

18/04/05 - Marathon Congratulations

Congratulations to three people who I know were representing AFC Wimbledon in yesterday's London Marathon. Lee Willetts, Lou Cooper and Andrea McGrady. Lee completed the course in 4 hours 35 minutes and 56 second and crossed the line in 18,801 place whilst Lou Cooper and Andrea McGrady who both play for the Ladies team crossed the line in 6 hours 3 minutes and 22 seconds Lou was given place number 31,861 whilst Andrea with the same time and finishing position.

If you know of anyone else who was running the marathon let me know and has AFC Wimbledon connections in one way or another let me know and I will put details up of there time and finishing position.

18/04/05 - League Table Error

As you may have seen in the message bard an error was spotted that I had incorrect position for Bromley and Whyteleafe, the reason for this was that the result had been entered by me the wrong way round. To make things worse my League Table software has stopped working and so i had to correct the table manually, but I think it is now sorted.

17/04/05 - More Silverware

This lunchtime the Under 11's won the league cup with a 2-0 victory so another trophy will be being bought back, unfortunately the under 10's lost but congratulations on reaching the final.

17/04/05 - More Media Clips

As promised and thanks to Donsonline, I can now show the media clips that were shown and missed by the majority of people during the last week. From watching here the clips are a bit jumpy in places but I am sure it wont spoil your enjoyment of them. I would recommend Broadband for all of them as they are large files.

Robert Ursell On The Paul O'Grady Show on ITV - 11 meg and 55 seconds in length Click here to download
Futbol Mondial Coverage including pre and post Met Police filming - 6 Mins 17 Secs in Length - Small 32 Meg Download - Medium 62 Meg Download.

17/04/05 - Everstrong on 5 Live

This morning Simon Vaughan of Everstrong was on BBC Radio 5 to talk about the revised chart taking place tonight that includes the download sales. AFC Wimbledon were mentioned a few times in the broadcast which last for just short of three and a half minutes and to download in mp3 format the file is 3.5mb to download the file click here

16/04/05 - Play-Offs and Promotion

The promotion and play-offs picture was made a bit clearer today Walton & Hersham secured the 2nd promotion place following a 4-1 victory at Horsham, Horsham had their keeper sent off at 1-0 down and after walton converted the penalty Horsham were always apparently chasing the game.

Two of the play-off places have now been booked with Horsham and Cray Wanderers guaranteeing a top 6 finish. Events could become very interesting with the other two places as Bromley and the Met Police play this midweek and if Bromley were to win they would be right in the picture for a possible place.

16/04/05 - Derby Draw

This afternoon we contested a 1-1 draw with Tooting & Mitcham, of the two teams Tooting will be more disappointed as this result puts a large dent in the remaining hopes they had of reaching the play-offs.

Tooting took the lead on the 34 minute when after Leon Mcdowall was bought to the ground Tooting were awarded a free kick and they scored from it, this wasn't thee only bad decision the ref had given in the first half, early on after thee tooting keeper had made a good save by blocking the ball he appeared to carry the ball outside the area but no free kick was given.

The second half saw us start more attacking but Danny Naisbitt made a couple of very good saves, but in my opinion we should of given away a penalty when Danny appeared to push over the attacker but thee ref didn't give anything.

With us still 1-0 down and around 15 minutes left Dave made a change and replaced Leon McDowall with Mark King, Mark has the honor of becoming the first under 18's player who ha played for the Under 18', Reserves and first team this season, so well done to Mark.

With just 110 minutes left Mickey Woolner took a free kick out wide and fired it into the box a number of players went for it but it appears that it may have gone straight in to level the score. So not the final result that we hoped for but as we have done all the hard work earlier in the season it was a case of not dropping important points.

16/04/05 - Tooting Matchday Service

This afternoon we make the trip to Tooting & Mitcham and once again we face a team who need a win as the race for the play-off places goes into the final few games of the season.

I will be providing text updates as we run out for the first time as confirmed champions and these can be viewed by clicking the Matchday link at the top of the page. I will try and bring you thee team line up but sometimes it can be difficult to hear the full details, But updates will start from around 14:30.

Don't forget the match is no longer all ticket and Terrace tickets are on sale from 12:30. Lets pack the ground out and cheer the Champions on.

15/04/05 - Predictions For Saturday

The main game in the league tomorrow is the game between Horsham and Walton & Hersham, after Walton's 2-0 victory at Corinthian Casuals in the week they still have a slim chance of the second automatic promotion place but that will be gone if they don't beat Walton tomorrow afternoon. 13/04/05 - Paul Sykes Of Folkstone

On Tuesday evening it was the Semi Final of the Kent Senior Cup between Folkstone and Margate after 30 minutes Folkstone player Paul Sykes a 28 year old striker collapsed and later died after receiving CPR on the pitch. Saturday's game at Tooting & Mitcham was due to be an all-ticket game but this has now been removed and Tooting will be selling tickets from 12:30, if you haven't got a ticket yet I would recommend getting to the ground early as a large number of tickets have already been sold.

12/04/05 - HMV Wednesday Night

As I am sure you are aware Take Me Home is out in the shop and the Artwork of the CD is worth getting just on it's own. On Wednesday evening Everstrong will be promoting the single at HMV Wimbledon this is opposite center court shopping center on the broadway.

10/04/05 - Best Of The Rest?

As we have now secured promotion and the League Championship for this season it's a chance to see who could be joining us in the Ryman Premier League next season from Ryman Division One.

The next week could have a significant bearing on who get's the automatic space. Horsham play the game in hand they currently have on Tuesday Night at Corinthian Casuals, this is a game Horsham need to win, then next weekend whilst we are partying at Tooting & Mitcham Walton & Hersham Visit Horsham, if Walton win that game they will get the second place in the league. If Horsham win in midweek and then next saturday the gap will be 2 points in Walton's favor with just 2 games left.

Looking at the Play-off places the prediction programme i use predicts the following teams to make it into the play-offs Horsham, Bromley, Cray & Leatherhead but with Tooting and Met Police just missing out, but any change in the predicted points and all could change.

08/04/05 - Travel To The Meadow

Once again the trains are not running between Wimbledon and Kingston on Saturday so it's a case of either getting the 131 bust that stops right near the ground or the replacement bus service to Norbiton station and then walking down. to the ground, if you are using public transport.

08/04/05 - Keeper Crisis Part Two

After Paul Smith went off injured on Tuesday tonight the Under 18's and Reserve Goal Keeper Michael Nicholas went ff with damaged Ankle Ligaments Last night and looks like he is out for the season. The Under 18's won 8-2 with a hat-trick of penalties from Bradley Drake to wrap up the league season in style. The dilemma now resolves round who will play in goal for the final games of the season.

07/04/05 - Champions On View Tonight

After failing at the first attempt to secure the championship, The Champions will be on view tonight when the Under 18's take on Leatherhead in our final league game of the 2004/05 Southern Youth League Eastern Division. Although this is the final League game it could be far from the last game of the season as we are still in the Quarter Finals of the Youth Cup and have the end of season Champions series to play to find the champion of all four leagues, as they are all at the same level.

The game starts around 19:30 and it's free admission so come down and cheer on Nicky and Wardy's champions.

07/04/05 - Band Night Friday

On Friday night the Third Band Night takes place at Kingsmeadow entrance is £6 and you get to see two decent bands, you can read more information on the bands and the evening on the official site by clicking here.

06/04/05 - It's Woking

From the moment the full time whistle blew last night at Gander Green Lane all the talk about the final was where would it be held? Rumors before the game were that if we reached the final to venue of Imber Court would be moved and everyone was hoping that if a new venue was announced it would be Woking and a return to the magic of last years cup final victory.

So when the Surrey FA announced this morning that on tuesday 3rd May 2005 the Surrey Senior Cup final would take place at Woking FC most AFC Wimbledon fans were very happy. The 3rd May is meant to be the date of the first play-off semi final so either the Surrey FA don't expect Walton to be in the play-offs or the play off game will be delayed as County Cup games take precedent over league matches.

As like last years cup final no tickets are expected to be sold in advance but if this changes it will be announced on the official site.

05/04/05 - Yipppppppeeeeeeee

Only a very quick report on tonight's game and more to follow tomorrow night, but as disappointing as Saturday was this was off the scale in brilliance. It doesn't matter how you look at it we beat a Conference South team 1-0 in the semi final of the Surrey Senior Cup.

Before our goal arrived on 48 minutes from the head of Frankie we saw a moment of brilliance that may have changed the way the game was heading. Paul Smith pulled off a stunning save on 44 minutes that would of given Sutton a 1-0 lead at half time.

We ended up playing the final 5+ minutes without Paul Smith in goal as he had to go off with an injury either a dislocated shoulder or Elbow and with no Eligible goalkeeper on the bench Antony Howard had to go in goal. It was a team performance that had everything and a suggestion that possibly 2 members of our management team were sent off in Dave Anderson and Warren Kelly.

So now on to the Cup Final where we will meet Walton & Hersham after they beat Tooting & Mitcham 1-0 at present the game is due to be played on Tuesday 3rd May 2005 at Imber Court, but rumors are rushing round suggesting that it may be moved to a different date and venue, as soon as the confirmed date and venue is know it will be on the official Site: -

The Man Of The Match Vote is not working at present but as soon as it is you will be able to vote.

05/04/05 - Surrey Senior Cup Semi Final

Both Surrey Senior Cup Semi Finals are due to be played tonight with as well as our trip to Sutton, Tooting & Mitcham visit Walton & Hersham. I will of course be providing updates from Gander Green Lane with the updates starting at around 19:15 with the team news as ever.

Let hope we can put saturday's result behind us and progress into the final.

05/04/05 - Ryman League Fixture

One ryman league game being played tonight and the fixture is Banstead Vs Dorking. A game both teams need to get points out as they battle away at the lower end of the table. The Spreadsheet predicts a 1-1 draw and League pad a 0-1 result. The Result was 3-0 to Banstead.

04/04/05 - Travel To Sutton

Tomorrow evening we have the Surrey Senior Cup Semi Final at Sutton and if you are traveling to Sutton by train, trains depart at 14 and 44 minutes past the hour from platform 9 and take around 15 minutes. After the game the only train is the 21:54 and will arrive back at Wimbledon at 22:00 otherwise it may be a case of bus back if the game as it could goes into extra time.

04/04/05 - Dent In The Debt

As you may have seen on the official site in March the amount owed on the debt to The Khosla's was reduced by 15% after a total of £120,000 was paid off.

The official site explains how part of this money has been accounted for but it's also important to remember that things like Golden Goal's, The Dons Draw, Printer Cartridges as well as The Amazon link on this site and the sponsored Diet's that have been taking place remember every penny counts.

03/04/05 - Sunday Round Up

A look at Various events going on site or at the Club.

ITMUSTBEDONS.COM 2004/05 Player Of The Year - The vote for the player o the year has been running for just over a week and have now had 230 votes, to enable me to get the trophy sorted the poll will remain open until Next Sunday so if you haven't voted yet and wish to please click here to vote.

Surrey Senior Cup Semi Final - On Tuesday night we visit Sutton in the semi final let's all turn out in force to hopefully cheer the lads on to a cup final.

Everstrong Single - This is the final week of pre-sales for Everstrong's single "Take Me Home" before it hits the shop on Monday 11th April by pre-ordering not only will your sale go towards a possible chart position but will help with raising funds for the Stadium Fund.

Printer, Phones, Old Foreign Coins - If you have any printer or Toner Cartridges that are empty you can hand them into the Dons Trust table in the back bar at home games, any that are handed in get re-cycled with the Dons Trust getting payment for them the same go for any old Mobile Phones you may not use or Foreign Currency that cant be used, for example French Francs, Spanish Peseta's or any other pre-Euro currency. So have a look at home or at work and don't forget just because you cant use it, it doesn't mean the Dons Trust cant use them.

02/04/05 - April Fools Trick

I always thought that April Fools Jokes had to be played before 12:00 lunchtime on April 1st but unfortunately it looked like we held ours back to Today.

Knowing that a point at Walton today would of seen us declared as Champions, but whilst we only needed a point it was a must win game for Walton & Hersham if they wanted to continue to have the upper hand over Horsham in the race for 2nd place in the league. In the end Walton came out 4-0 winners and it was our heaviest league defeat in the past three years. The goals were scored in the 24, 37, 70 and 77 minutes of the game.

This was a hugely disappointing game and I would imagine that most disappointed of all will be the players and management staff, but when you consider this is our first league defeat since the Whyteleafe game on 1st January 2005 and promotion has been achieved things should be taken in context.

So Tuesday night we have the Surrey Senior Cup Semi Final against Sutton and the winners could well face Walton & Hersham, if we were to face them in the final I would be surprised if it finished the same score line.

The Man Of The Match Vote is now open please click below to vote: -

02/04/05 - Walton Matchday Service

This afternoon we take on 2nd in the table Walton & Hersham and whilst we only need another point to win the league Walton are desperate to clinch that 2nd automatic promotion place and not have to be involved in the drama of the end of season play-offs.

The updates will get under way from around 14:30 with the teams news although it's possible some lunchtime updates will take place as I will be on the boat going to Walton and if anything worth noting happens it will be passed back.

It's possible that the evening update could end up being very late as celebrations will hopefully be taking place and may well delay my return home. To view the updates click the link at the top that says matchday to be kept informed of all the action as it happens.
