100 League Goals - All week I was aware that we were close
on the landmark 100 league goals and after the midweek game when we
only got 1 I thought we would have to wait a bit longer to break through
the barrier as we would never get 3 against Wallingford but how wrong
I was. Everyone was so involved in the game that when the moment came
no one realised it had happened and it was after the game had finished
that it was announced over the public address system. So congratulations
to Matt Everard who scored AFC Wimbledon 100 League Goal of the season.

29/03/2003 AFC Wimbledon Comes Of Age - Today was one of them special days the sun shone, the crowds flocked to Kingsmeadow, and we came away with an outstanding result a 3-2 victory over current league leaders and last seasons champions AFC Wallingford.Lets get this right all season we have been talking about how clubs have come down to us and treated it as there cup final well today we turned the table this was our cup final and we won it. When the team was listed yesterday it was difficult to select who would start and who would be on the bench. Terry went with Joe up front instead of Ali Russell and on the bench had Ali, Noel Frankum and Gareth Graham.
The ground was packed with over 3,200 people with a number of neutral
in the house (thanks to fans of Bournemouth, Brighton, Spurs, Man
U, Newcastle, St Pauli, Birmingham, Middlesborough just to name a
few who all were at the game) and with the match sponsor's being The
Famous "P.I.S.A" Crew even the main stand was jumping.
After only 8 minutes Wallingford took the lead when Small-King scored
direct from a freekick and people in the ground all thought here we
go again it's going to be like Withdean but this time we seemed to
be different we pushed forward and on 16 minutes Andy Sullivan whipped
in a corner that went straight in, not far over the line but enough
for young ref Stephen Cook to give it as a goal.
10 minutes later some nice play by Kevin Cooper won us a corner and
as it was played in it was met by the head of Joe Sheerin who powered
home a stunning header and we were 2-1 up the place went mental. Once
again our lead was only to last for 10 minutes when Wallingford were
awarded another freekick on the edge of the box and Small-King again
fired home a brilliant freekick to make the score 2-2. With just minutes
to go before half time a moment of madness occurred when one of our
players tried to head the ball back to Ray Merry but headed it past
him Keith Ward ran back and managed to chip it over his shoulder and
off the underside of the bar to be cleared. The ref said it wasn't
a goal so the teams were level at half time.
With just over 55 minutes played AFC Wallingford "favorite player"
Matt Everard managed to score to put Wimbledon 3-2 up once again the
place erupted and the atmosphere was rocking. It was at the Academy
end so it was difficult to see how it was scored that's why this is
a bit vague. We continued to push forward in the second half and had
a number of chances with Ali Russell having one of the best with just
5 minutes to go he was clear with the keeper to beat but he tried
to beat the keeper by lobbing him but he over hit it and it went over
the bar.
Although Wallingford hadn't caused much threat in the second half they did have a chance in the final minute but we managed to clear it. They had also been reduced to 10 men in the final minutes when one of there players was sent off for kicking the ball at a player who was down on the floor. The final minutes seemed to take for ever and when the whistle blew the reaction of everyone was brilliant the fans, the players, management and staff just showed what this meant.
I titled this report "AFC Wimbledon Come Of Age" and it was a saying
that I said and a number of other people said after the game. I don't
think even a couple of weeks ago let alone at the start of this season
we could of got this result but it shows how far we have come. With
regards to Wallingford if we cant win the league I hope they do they
are a very good team.
At the end of the game both sides received standing ovations and the
Wimbledon players were just so happy, Danny Oakins even threw his
shirt to the crowd. And in the bar and later in Jaspers the players
were just over the moon they knew what this match today meant to everyone.
Right Man Of The Match vote time but with a change today I have added an extra category of "The Whole Team" if you think one player stood out vote for them or you cant decide and think The Whole Team should get this weeks award vote for it, anyway the vote is open by clicking below.P.S. I am too tired to do the results and league table so that will follow Sunday. |

26/03/2003 Another Victory As Dons Go Rolling On - Not a classic tonight but another 3 points and sets us up nicely for the big game on Saturday against AFC Wallingford.
There was a bit of confusion over the goal after only about 4 minutes
when a scramble at the athletics end of the ground saw a ward shot
come off Danny Oakins chest and go into the net. It was given to Keith
but at half time Danny was claiming it.
We had other chances in the match but couldn't convert them the best being a pile driver from Kevin Cooper who smacked one against the bar. At time Merstham played very well and looked like they could atleast draw level but some good defending made sure that we won.The Man Of The Match Vote is now open and please click below to vote

26/03/2003 Couple Of Dons Trust Points - Just remembered a couple of points that Lou raised on Monday night about the running of The Dons Trust. Lou said that The Dons Trust would be holding open forums so that members could ask questions to members of the board, these are likely to be held at Kingsmeadow before a game. She also said that a review was under way of the Trust Constitution and Elections and the results of this review should be known within 3 months. We have also been selected by Supporters Direct to have a "Social Audit" to be honest I am not really sure what this is about but we will be the first club in the country to have this done so it is a honour. |

25/03/2003
Review Of Last Night's Meeting - Over 800 people attended the
meeting last night in person to hear, discuss and vote on where we
should play in the future. Originally there was going to be another
discussion regarding AFC Wimbledon appointing a paid Chief Executive
but after discussions with the legal team they decided that the constitution
doesn't currently allow for this so it was removed from the evenings
proceedings.
The Evening started with The Dons Trust Chair Lou Carlton-Kelly talking about how we had progressed from 28th May 2002 she then handed over to Kris and he discussed the various options and explained that in practice Tooting & Mitcham couldn't happen although we could appeal this would be time consuming and could leave us with nowhere to play. Once Kris had finished he passed on to Tom Adam of the Stadium Working Group.
Tom explained that they had done extensive research into the Wimbledon
area and from an initial 20 sites they worked out that 4 had potential
2 of these turned out to be Kingsmeadow and Tooting and Mitcham the
other two are what are known as Metropolitan Open Land (MOL) and these
are difficult to get planning permission for. He added that although
Plough Lane was the ultimate dream it had to be ruled out due to the
high price that was attached just to the land (Approx.£14 mill). He
also said that they had looked at footprints of stadiums on various
sites ranging from 6,000 to 10,000 and although it was all hypothetical
this was the main thing that reduced the sites to four and reduced
the need for full stadium designs.
Tom then passed on to Erik Samuelson the Finance Director and he explained
the situation and figures that were shown in the hand out. As ever
Erik based his figures on three levels of success High, Medium & Low.
High saw us in CCL next year Rymans 1 South for 2004/05 & 2005/06
and Rymans Prem for 2006/07 and 2007//08 but pushing for the conference.
Medium was CCL next year Rymans 1 2004/07 and Rymans Prem 2007/08
and Low was CCL to 2005 and Rymans 1 2005/08. Erik calculates that
the buy option should result in a minimum £200,000 a year more profit
than the lease option and on the lease low success route this would
result in a loss over in 3 out of the 5 years.
Erik then went on to talk about how the required money would be raised.
He explained that approximately£3 million would need to be raised
with £2.5 million being the purchase price the other £500,000 is based
on legal fees and urgent repairs. Once the contracts are signed £270,000
will need to be paid as a deposit this money is available and then
stage payments would be made between now and 31st December starting
with £350,000 in June. It was pointed out that in practice if we failed
to raise the money we would be in breach of contract and could have
to find the money and be without the ground. Erik kept emphasizing
the risk involved but he thought we could raise the funds. He said
that they were in discussions with a number of potential city organisations
with regards to a "Share Issue" it was explained that if this route
was used The dons Trust would always have a "Golden Share" and therefore
we couldn't be compromised in our views or taken over by people not
interested in football. Erik explained that based on 900 people being
in the room we would all need to raise £3,000 each.
Erik talked about returns on investment and said that for example
it would be likely that if someone invested £1,000 they may get a
free shirt so £35 or 3.5% return, and the more you invested the higher
the payment. Erik also explained that come December if we were say
£500,000 short (a figure has been specified in the contract) The Khosla's
would be prepared to extend the payment period but subject to an interest
rate of 1% per month (12% per year).
It was then time for questions and I started the proceedings off with
a question of "If we failed to reach the amount would the share agreement
kick in so that we wouldn't be without a ground?" Danny Norris AFC
Fan and the lawyer of the club explained that there were risks and
we could lose out altogether. Kris then confirmed that in the contract
it would be built in that the Share would start and therefore if the
Buy option was voted on we would in theory have a ground for a further
3 years minimum.
A number of questions were raised saying couldn't we negotiate either a lower price or longer repayments schedule? Ivor explained that the original price was a lot higher and that they had got down to "What he thought was the lowest price they would get" we have to be careful in that if we go back to The Khoslas they could just say the deal is off and Ivor said this was a golden opportunity to be able to buy the land and ground if we were to look at another blank site land and building of a ground would cost a minimum of 3 or 4 times this.
Concerns were viewed that we were ruling out Merton and people asked
to see the work that the Stadium Working Group had done it was explained
that any potential sites that were shown in the open allow the local
NIMBY's to start campaigning and also pushes the price up. People
were invited to attend the meetings of Stadium Working Group.
The second to last person to talk was Terry Eames who of course as
well as Director of Football is a Trust Member he said that he thought
that this was an opportunity to build on what we had achieved over
the past 10 months. He said we could continue to be a nomad club moving
from ground to ground or we could put down routes at Kingsmeadow,
both for us and Kingstonian Football Club as well (This was a common
theme during the evening the importance of making sure K's were OK).
It then came to the vote and we thought it would be close and us volunteers
were poised with the collection boxes. The first vote was "Who wants
to play at Tooting & Mitcham next season" I was downstairs so couldn't
see everyone but apparently 2 people put there hands up. The next
vote was to Share Kingsmeadow and about 50 people put there hands
up. I was stunned I thought it was going to be close. Then To buy
Kingsmeadow hands shot up from all directions a card vote wasn't needed
as about 95% of the people present had voted in favor of this option.
The Buy option was carried and the meeting was closed we then went
over the road to the pub to discuss how we could raise this money,
it's going to be tough but we can and will do it! |

Just When You Think The Journey Cant Get Better ..... - At
the end of May last year (2002) it looked like we had nothing and
then the idea of a new club was talked about and then formed. Since
then it has just been a wonderful ride and as we approached the back
end of the season we began to think well what will be doing this summer.
Well tonight that was answered in resounding style when at the Special
General Meeting of The Dons Trust a show of hands was only required
to accept the vote for purchasing Kingsmeadow. The show of hands was
about 95% in favour of this and with about 800 people present and
additional proxy votes this was a massive endorsement.
So what does it mean? At present by 31st December 2003 we need to raise £3 million pounds to complete the deal. This sounds and is, a hell of a lot of money but for as long as I have been a Dons fan we have always been told that we couldn't do something and supporters have said give us the opportunity and we will do it. Now is the time that we must stand up and be counted this will secure our long term future and also that of Kingstonians Football Club.I will do more of a write up and Pictures in the morning but I think this gives you an idea of how it went. |

Special General Meeting - Tonight - Just a reminder that tonight
we will make a major decision on the future of AFC Wimbledon based
on where we will play from next season and if we wish to just be tenants
at Kingsmeadow or too buy it out right and allow Kingstonian Football
Club to play their for a small rent. If we decided that we wish to
try and buy it it will mean all stops out to raise the money by the
end of the year but this would secure our future both on and off the
pitch.
If you wish to read the document again prior to the meeting tonight
and don't have it to hand you can see it on the official site by clicking
here.
Just a reminder that even to attend you must must be an existing member
of The Dons Trust and renewed if you have been sent a renewal letter.
Junior Dons Trust Members are not full members and therefore will
not be able to vote and if possible it would be helpful if they didn't
attend.
The meeting/presentation will start at 19:30 with doors opening at
19:00 please make sure that you are there early to enable us to get
everyone inside for the start time, it's not just a case of walking
into the theater and getting a seat you will need to be checked in
and issued with a voting card. If you are not sure where the meeting
is tonight it's the same venue as the Comedy Night if you are coming
by Tube, Train or Tram come out of the station turn left and keep
walking and it's a 5 minute walk a map can be found here.

23/03/2003 Afternoon Of History With Six Of The Best - Over the last few weeks one of the many talking points of the AFC fans has been the question as to if we would ever score more than 5 goals, a number of times we had reached the 5 mark but couldn't get a sixth goal or even the magic seventh when the vidiprinter on BBC scores program prints out the number followed by the words in brackets. Both Gavin Bolger and Danny Oakins returned to the starting line up's with Dave Towse and Neil Robson returning to the bench. In the first half it looked like it would be another tough game like earlier in the season as the Dons were kicking up the hill. North Greenford took the lead when there player fired in from close range after they hit the post and it rebounded. North Greenford should of been 2-0 up when a shot on goal was somehow deflected over from under the crossbar by one of there attackers.AFC leveled just before half time when Gavin Bolger scored from close range. We were lucky to go in level but with the advantage of kicking down the hill in the second half we were still in with a shout.
With no text updates to look back on it a case of trying to remember
how things happened so the rest of the report may be a bit sketchy
but here goes.
Our second goal was scored by Kevin Cooper who also got the 3rd when the keeper dropped the ball and Coops had a tap in. The 4th goal was one of the best AFC goals I have seen Gavin Bolger had the ball and was going down the wing he then beat two defenders and when it looked like he would cut the ball back to Cooper or someone else he lashed the ball into the goal and we were 4-1 up. We were on fire now and I turned to the person next to me and said I wonder if we get a last minute penalty who will take it with Coops and Gavin on two goals each.
AFC were awarded a free kick when there goalkeeper was adjudge to
have handled the ball outside the area Coops stepped up and as the
wall jumped up Cooper placed the ball along the ground and into the
back of the net Cooper had his hattrick and it was looking really
smart. North Greenford made it 5-2 with a nicely taken goal. Then
in the final minute the keeper pulled Cooper down this was going to
be the moment of truth could we score the penalty to break the "Only
Score Five" claim and could Cooper get his 4th of the game. But Kevin
Cooper done something that was brilliant he turned to Gavin and said
you take it, Gavin stepped up and hit the ball high to the right of
the goal and we had our 6th goal and two players had a hattrick. The
only times that a Wimbledon team had ever scored 6 or more goals was
against Torquay (Cork got 4), Newport and Windsor so this was a historic
afternoon.
Can I just say a bit about North Greenford. The organisation and brilliant
set-up that they have there shows what can be achieved at this level
there chairman made a speech after the game thanking all AFC fans
and saying we would always be welcome at North Greenford but he hoped
that we would be in a higher league next season where we deserve to
be. Another nice thing was that as the North Greenford players left
the pitch all the AFC fans applauded them and they responded to the
gesture It was a lovely day all round.
The Man Of The Match vote is now open and please click below to vote. |

and even a suggestion it may have been called off already but so far
this is unconfirmed. The match in question is Withdean 2000 Vs Walton

I will post details. Result - Withdean 2000 3 Walton Casuals 1 - Table has been updated. |

Sean Daly Gets 112 Day Ban - After Sean was sent off in the
Withdean game he has been handed a 112 day ban the only strange thing
about this is that the London FA who have handed it down have said
it will run from 7th April 2003 to 27th July 2003 this means that
unlike Bradley Ward of Wallingford who also received a 112 day ban
for the Danny Oakins incident who is missing something like 25 games
Sean will only miss 6 games as most of the ban will be in the close
season. As you can imagine AFC Wimbledon have said they wont appeal
against this decision. |
|
19/03/2003 Nostalgia Night - Just a reminder that this Friday night sees the Nostalgia night at the Motspur Park Sports Club. Tickets cost £15 each and if you wish to go please e-mail Mick Pugh on the following e-mail address mick.pugh@btinternet.com all profits from the evening go to the Stadium fund and after the news from Tuesday we know where that could be going.
I spoke to Mick on Tuesday night and he said that there is something
like 20 minutes of coverage from the 1963 FA Amateur Cup Final which
I am sure that most of us have never seen. 8 Players from the 1963
team will be in attendance and you will also get a souvenir programme
that I am sure will be a collectors item. |

Tuesday Evening released a statement that confirmed that one of the
options open to the club is the possible purchase of Kingsmeadow the
full details can be found over at the Official
Site. It's important that all members of the Dons Trust read this information prior to Monday's meeting. I will put up more information on this on Wednesday once I have read everything a couple of times. |

Leaving On A Jet Plane - A number of times this season I have
said how we have played at some of the strangest grounds I have ever
seen but today while the ground was one of the best in the Combined
Counties playing at the end of the worlds busiest airport was a strange
experience for the record plans were taking off towards us and some
of the planes only just seemed to clear the houses. Conversations
had to be stopped every two minutes as you were drowned out by the
noise of the planes.
On the pitch we had a number of changes as Gavin Bolger was out with
food poisoning, Noel Frankum with Wisdom teeth being taken out and
Lee Passmore suspended. Joe Sheerin returned with Simon Bassey and
Neil Robson back in the starting line up. It wasn't too long before
Joe had to be replaced by Ally Russell due to a Hamstring problem.
Bedfont took the lead when a player was allowed to cross the ball and a mix up at the back post enabled them to score. We leveled through Kevin Cooper who got his 30th goal of the season after the initial effort I think from Ally hit the post. The score was 1-1 at Half Time.In the second half we continued to push forward and once again it was Matty Everard to the rescue when he headed home to put us 2-1 up. After this we could of had 2 penalties but the ref gave free kicks outside the box both times which was very strange. Andy Sullivan ended up limping out of the game and looks like he will be a big doubt for Saturday.
So another 3 points and against a team who are fifth in the table
and have been on a good run. The Man Of The Match Vote is now open
and you can click below to vote.

back for tonight's game. The list of the other fixtures in the Combined

Travel To Bedfont - As you may have seen by my earlier suggestion
it may be easier to get to Bedfont by getting a train to Feltham and
then either a bus or cab to Hatton Cross. Trains from Clapham Junction
to Feltham take under 20 minutes and are very regular the following
map will help you in regards to the bus journey (click on it for a
larger version).

Are we Buying K's? - As you may have seen today there are stories
going round that AFC Wimbledon may have come to an agreement with
the Khosla's who own Kingsmeadow and the suggestion is that AFC Wimbledon
will buy the ground for £2 million pounds and allow Kingstonian Football
Club to continue to play there. So far there have been no official
statements either confirming or denying this the only comment is that
The Khosla's will be making a statement later in the week regarding
this story. As ever I will keep you informed of any developments.

|
17/03/2003 Bedfont Tuesday Night - I will do full travel information tonight but for people going to the game on Tuesday evening you may like to consider rather than getting the Picadilly line all the way to Hatton Cross you could get a train from Clapham Junction to Feltham and then get either a cab or bus as it's only a couple of miles from Feltham station. |

Bucket Collection On Saturday - As you may have seen on Saturday
we were doing a bucket collection for two well known AFC fans who
are doing the London Marathon. Steve Elson and Lee Willetts are raising
money for HemiHelp who Jackie Harvie of The Dons Trust has an association
with. Anything they raise over £3,000 will go to The Stadium Fund
and on Saturday the Bucket Collection raised £1,280 so thanks to everyone
who contributed. If you haven't contributed as of yet and wish to
you can via the online site that can be found here.

15/03/2003
Dull Draw On Strange Result Saturday - After the brilliance
of Wednesday night we perhaps had our most disappointing game of the
season with a fairly uneventful 0-0 draw against Farnham. Elsewhere
in the league Cove continued there championship push with a 2-1 victory
at Raynes Park Vale and Wallingford dropped points again with a 1-1
draw at Cobham. Cove are now 7th in the form guide over the last 6
games.
A couple of changes were made with Dave Towse starting for Danny Oakins
and Ally Russell starting for Joe Sheerin. The pitch was extremely
dry and the ball was bouncing erratically. There were very few clear cut chances in the first half and the teams went in level at 0-0.
It was late on in the second half before we had our best chances and
Farnham cleared the ball off the line a couple of times and we hit
the post. But it just wasn't our day the fact is that during a season
you will always have some performances that don't give what you hoped
for and this season we have been very lucky with the vast majority
of the performances resulting in victories so we should all get upset
when we have a 0-0 draw, the players were more than disappointed with
the result and I know that they will want to put in a good performance
on Tuesday at Bedfont to get the result that we hoped for today.
The Man Of the Match vote is now open and please click below to cast your vote. |

Tooting & Mitcham Planing Application Turned Down - Tonight
at Merton Council the planning committee turned down the application
for the changes to Tooting & Mitcham ground that would allow AFC Wimbledon
to possibly play there next season. I understand that the vote was
7-1 against the proposal and that one of the major fears was the likely
increase in traffic. I will post more information once I know of it. |

Withdean Fixtures- Bit of information on Withdean tonight apparently
there 4-0 scoreline from the Merstham that was abandoned has been

Thanks to Warren Harvey for this information. As you can see they
have a tough job, there is also a rumor going round that they must
play all home games by 5th May as this is the date that the pitch
at Worthing is being ripped up to be redone, they apparently have
a large squad registered to help them get through all these games.

12/03/2003 Who's Not A Threat Now? - He may have resigned last week but just a reminder to the ex Ash manager tonight about his quote earlier in the season when he said that we were not a threat to them Challenging for the title, well AFC Wimbledon 5 Ash 3 says a lot I think and two of there goals came in the last 5 or so minutes so it could of been even more convincing.
Some of the football that we played in this game was outstanding and
Kevin Cooper ended up with a another hattrick. His first goal was
from about 25 yards out when he headed the ball down to himself and
then hit the ball with the outside of his right boot and it shot over
ex AFC keeper Andy Hunt. It was a stunning goal and the crowd of 2,409
erupted.
The second goal was scored by Matt Everard against his old club when
a corner was knocked on by Keith Ward and Matt prodded home from close
range. Just before half time Ash pulled a goal back when they caught
the defence out and they managed to put the ball past Ray Merry. The
score was 2-1 at half time.
Five minutes into the second half we were 3-1 up when a brilliant move involving Joe Sheerin, Gavin Boulger and then Kevin Cooper saw us score. Joe backhealed the ball to Gavin who then lobbed the ball over the defender and then fired in a cross and then Cooper scored from close range.
Ash looked like they would make it 3-2 when a player had a shot but
it hit the post AFC then moved the ball up the other end and hit the
post before the ball was put out for a corner. From the resulting
corner Lee Sidwell managed to score and we were 4-1 up. Cooper's hattrick
came about when we were awarded a freekick on the edge of the box
and he sent one of his grass cutters along the ground and in at the
right hand post. We were 5-1 up and it was a case of game over but
Ash got two goals back the first from close range after a brilliant
save from Ray Merry and the second from the penalty spot. So a final
score of 5-3 but a brilliant performance.

08/03/2003
Brilliant Performance On Muddy Pitch - On a pitch that had
very little grass and was very muddy the dons put on a brilliant performance
to win 5-0 away at Cobham. Although the pitch didn't look that good
from distance it was very flat and during the game I couldn't see
any times where play was affected by the pitch.
The Dons got straight at them and we were 1-0 up when Matt Everard
challenged the keeper and headed the ball home. The Dons had already
had a shot come back off the post from Joe Sheerin but it wasn't long
before Joe was on the score sheet to head home in another challenge
against the keeper. AFCW went in 2-0 up and the points were already
looking safe.
The second half started and Gavin Boulger scored I would like to describe
the goal to you but I was getting a burger and missed it. With us
3-0 up we were coasting but one of the best moments of the game was
still to come as Noel Frankum scored his first goal for AFC and his
first goal in four years when he lobbed the keeper. His delight was
clear to see and as with a number of players this year he wanted to
celebrate with the fans rather than the players. There was still time
for Andy Sullivan to get on the score sheet and although we hoped
for a sixth goal we had to make do with five again.

Ash were expected to be one of the contenders to the league title and earlier in the season Mick was quoted in the Non League paper saying how AFC Wimbledon were not a threat to Ash and Wallingford in the championship race. With Ash in 13th place and them due to visit Kingsmeadow next week he has stepped down. |

01/03/2003
Life's Fantastic Playing On Plastic - Sorry to Mighty Feltham
Fan for the use of the headline but after today's 2-1 victory it was
too tempting not to use.
Feltham's ground is without doubt one of the strangest grounds I have
ever been at. Not only does it have one of the few plastic pitches
in the country but down 2/3 of one of the sides it has a terrace/stand
that following a fire has no roof. 1,300 AFC fans made the trip and
in-between looking at the planes as they came into land at Heathrow
made plenty of noise to get behind the team.
Dave Towse started as both Keith Ward and Danny Oakins were out due
to injury. In the opening minutes it was a case of the players finding
there feet on the different surface. It was clear to see that you
only had to slightly over hit a ball and it would run out of play
or go to an opposition player.
Feltham took the lead on about 20 minutes when there striker ran at
the defence and managed to curle the ball past Ray Merry. This was
there first effort on goal and once again if we were to win we would
have to come from behind. We continued to play some good stuff and
some nice play by Cooper won us a corner just before half time. As
the corner was played in Matt Everard rose at the back post to head
the ball home with a bullet header. The score was Feltham 1 AFC Wimbledon
1 at Half Time.
In the second half we continued to dominate play and with a torrential down pour soaking the AFC fans we were warmed up with a bit of magic from Gavin Boulger who managed to chip the ball over a Feltham defender and then do the same to the keeper and the ball landed in the back of the net it was a lovely bit of skill and would end up winning the game.Feltham had a couple of chances and perhaps should of scored but we continued to go forward but could extend our lead. But a 2-1 victory was a fair result and a very good performance the players looked really pleased at the end of the game. The Man Of The Match vote is now open please click below to Vote: - |
