All very quite tonight.

A Strong reserve team that includes Cunningham, Holloway and Robinson are in action at Forest, that's in Nottingham I think. I hope they know the route!

John Hartson's move to Coventry seems to be getting closer with rumours that he has been seen in the area.

30/01/2001
Tuesday night so we must be playing in Nottingham? Well no not this week but we are playing on Wednesday when the reserves including Kenny Cunningham travel to Forest. I think I might give this one a miss.

Quite a bit of interest in the free trip to Boro and has even been reported on Teamtalk's site.

Coventry are still planning to sign John Hartson but another story see's them being linked with Carl Leaburn.

Free Travel To Boro

If we can get past Middlesbrough in the 4th Round we will play Away at Wycombe. This would be a brilliant game as it would see us up against Lawrie Sanchez and Terry Gibson. A lot of people would like to see Sanchez as a future Dons boss so it would be interesting to see what his teams are made of. Wycombe had a brilliant result on Saturday against Wolves and are doing ok in the second division.

Both Jason Euell and John Hartson are being linked with Moves to Spurs with Jason also being linked with Aston Villa. Spurs want to take Euell on Loan but have been told this wont happen.

With the Notts County saga now over I have closed the vote of who scored our goal in the match that was abandoned because of fog. The results are as follows: -

Dean Blackwell (27) 36%
The Ref (12) 16%
Carl Fogerty (11) 15%
Terry Burton (8) 11%
Dont Know Couldn't See (6) 8%
Kelvin Davis (4) 5%
Neal Ardley (2) 3%
Jason Euell (1) 1%
Trond Andersen (1) 1%
Damien Francis (1) 1%
Patrick Ageymang (1) 1%

This afternoon see's the draw for the FA Cup 5th Round even though we haven't played our 4th Round match yet. As soon as it is made I will put details on here.

For fans of Trond's site you may be having problems getting to the site via the link on the right. For some reason it looks like icons.com have removed the direct link but if you click the link it will take you to the Icon's main page the go to the Players drop down list and select Andersen which is the second one on the list.

I have added a new poll too find out if people think we can make the play-off's. Please vote to register your point of view.

27/01/2001
So it took 261 minutes but the Notts County saga is now over. Trond Andersen scored an stunning header in the 119 minute of the game to give us a 1-0 victory. We now travel to Middlesbrough on Tuesday 6th February 2001 for the 4th round.

Once again we were reduced to 10 men today when Chris Willmott was sent off for two bookable fouls. This was with about 10 minutes left of extra time so we did really well.

A big welcome back to Kenny Cunningham who came on for Wayne Gray once Chris was sent off.

Weather update from Nottingham can be found here. At the moment things don't look too bad but we all know how that can change.

On Tuesday Night Des Byrne was in the squad and is in with a shout of being on the bench on Saturday, also in the squad is Kenny Cunningham.

If you made the trip to the first game don't forget to bring your voucher so that you can get in for £5.00 as an adult. Otherwise it will cost you £10.00.

Both Notts County and Wimbledon are trying to make it into to a bit of a family day and on Saturday there will be a "Beat The Keeper" contest involving kids from both teams.

The talk of Marcus Gayle moving to Newcastle has fallen through.

25/01/2001
Kenny Cunningham could well make some sort of an appearance on Saturday at Notts County even though he hasn't made a reserve appearance due to games being called off.

Alan Kimble has been interviewed on the official site and says that he had never seen rain like it on Tuesday night. He also thought we deserved a point on Saturday at Portsmouth and hopes that we can get a result this Saturday against County.

24/01/2001
After the game being called off last night we have had the reserve match against Ipswich at Sutton tonight called off tonight. This match was due to see Kenny Cunningham play a part as part of his return to fitness.

I understand that if we do beat Notts County the game at Middlesbrough will be played on Tuesday 6th February 2001 and not the 7th as I mentioned earlier today.

Terry Burton has said how sorry he feels for the dons fans that have now made it up to county twice and not seen a game completed. He points out that fans have to take time off work and lay out costs that cant be re-claimed. i.e. petrol.

1am and just got home from Nottingham we are still in the FA Cup. The game tonight was called off at 7pm due to "WaterHogs on The Pitch" (C) Soccer AM. The fact is between about 5:30 and 7:30 the rain was torrential and some of the driving was through areas that were flooded.

The game will now be tried to be played on Saturday 3pm Kick Off. And the Winner of that Game will play at Boro on Wednesday 7th February 2001.

23/01/2001
Sorry about the lack of an official update. I was having a problem updating today and so I posted the News in the guestbook.

Kenny Cunningham could well play for the reserves on Wednesday night (if the game goes ahead) at Sutton against Ipswich.

22/01/2001
If you went last week to Notts County and going again on Tuesday don't forget your voucher so that you can get in for £5.00.

It would appear that Neal Ardley and Patrick Ageymang were both missing on Saturday due to injury.

The Man Of the Match vote for the Portsmouth game will close after I return form Notts County (if the game gets finished) please click below to vote.

Very quite on the News front today Teamtalk has some transfer stories which are as follows.

Aston Villa could well make a move for Neal Ardley. Ardley is out of contract in the summer and rather than get nothing for him then we may sell him soon.

Coventry still want to buy John Hartson and something may happen this week.

20/01/2001
A 2-1 defeat at Portsmouth leaves us yes you guessed it 11th in the table.

Man Of The Match vote for the trip to Portsmouth is now up.

Vote for Man of the Match

Neal Ardley who is out of contract in the summer has said that he hopes to sign a new contract that will keep him at the Dons till he finishes in Football.

We travel to Portsmouth today to a ground that we have apparently never won at. Portsmouth are apparently very strong at home and have been doing well since Steve Claraidge took over. Reading on various sites people seem to suggest that the game could finish as a draw.

If you are unable to get to a game and want to check the scores click the following link that will give you all the English scores.

19/01/2001
John Hartson is in the squad for the trip to Portsmouth. He could well end up with a place on the bench for this match. Darren Holloway is still suspended and will miss the trip.

For people travelling to Portsmouth I would just like to point out that the away end at Fratton park is open and the weather forecast is for freezing rain so dig that Hat out for the journey.

The result of the Man Of The Match vote for the Preston game is as follows :-

Jason Euell 27 votes 42%
Mark Williams 8 votes 13%
Damien Francis 6 votes 9%
Trond Andersen 6 votes 9%
Patrick Ageymang 5 votes 8%
Dean Blackwell 4 votes 6%
Gareth Ainsworth 4 votes 6%
Marcus Gayle 2 votes 3%
Paul Heald 1 vote 2%
Peter Hawkins 1 vote 2%

Congratulations to Jason on walking the vote this week.

If stories are to be believed Newcastle are lining up one of our players for a move one of the stumbling blocks was a shortage of money at Newcastle, well today they have sold Domi for £3 million will this money be used for a raid on any of our players? We shall have to wait and see.

18/01/2001
As you can see I have added a new poll a bit of fun after the match on Tuesday night Did Dean Blackwell really score our goal lets see what the readers of this site think :)

The result of Best Away game of 2000 can now be announced and the results are as follows: -

Sheffield Wednesday (13) 13%
Huddersfield (0) 0%
Crewe (12) 12%
Barnsley (1) 1%
Nottingham Forest (9) 9%
Norwich (5) 5%
Birmingham (42) 42%
Tranmere (19) 19%

Thanks to everyone that voted.

Today see's stories linking Marcus Gayle with both Newcastle and Fulham. Apparently Newcastle had four people at the Notts County game (but they didn't see much :) ). Fulham are thought to be interested with a value in the £1 million pound range.

17/01/2001
News just in Congratulations to the youth team who won 5-3 on penalties at Derby and now face a trip to Wolves. The Dons were 3-1 up on penalties and in fact it looks like all 5 of our takers scored and a couple of Derby penalties were saved by our keeper.

Lionel Morgan played for the youth team tonight in the FA Cup match at Derby, he hit the crossbar with a header in the first half but the scores remained at 0-0 for all the first half half.

The reserve game at Sutton was called off tonight due to a frozen pitch.

The Official statement about the Notts County game is given further down today's news.

Both the Reserves and the Youth team are due to be in action tonight. The reserves are due to play at Sutton against Watford while the Youth team are due to play at Derby in a Youth Cup Tie, lets hope they have more luck in the east midlands than the first team did last night.

With the Notts County match being abandoned and therefore not being recorded in the records I will not be holding a Man Of The Match vote. Therefore you can still vote for the Man Of The Match against Preston.

"With concessions on prices throughout the ground, we hope we can draw even more of our friends to Meadow Lane next Tuesday".

"We were so warmed by the enthusiasm of supporters last night and so disappointed not to have been able to finish the match that we want to do everything possible to get them back for this re-match", said Peter Storrie.

1:15am and just returned from Nottingham and the match at Notts County as you are most probably more than aware of now this game was abandoned on 51 minutes due to fog. With the score at 1-1.

Few points about this. We were poor in the first half and deserved to be a goal down at half time. Why did the second half start you couldn't see more than 25 yards so why wait 5 minutes till we scored to call the match off. Was it true that local people in Nottingham knew at lunchtime that the game was unlikely to finish due to a weather forecast of very hard fog by about 9pm but the club and officials decided to play the game.

For the record Dean Blackwell scored the equaliser but this goal now wont count so Dean's goal famine goes on.

The re-arranged replay is apparently next Tuesday now.

Darren Holloway was serving the first of a two match suspension today but with the game not being completed he will now miss Portsmouth and Notts County.

16/01/2001
The BBC are suggesting that John Hartson may play tonight against Notts County. This would seem a bit strange if we are close to a deal as it would cup tie him.

Apparently we have a Portuguese international defender on trial from Benfica, Jose Soares is over for 10 days to try and impress he played with Michael Thomas last season and Michael suggested he may be worth a look according to reports.

15/01/2001
Cup week for Wimbledon this week first of all on Tuesday the first team are away at Notts County and then on Wednesday the youth team play Derby at the Baseball Ground!! yes that is right Derby still use both grounds. The match was due to be played at Sutton but wimbledon asked to switch the game due to the state of the pitch at Sutton.

I understand that on Friday at training the players were introduced to some sort of psychologist who talked to the player about playing at Selhurst. When they were first told about this some players were very sceptical about it but afterwards they seemed impressed by what they had been told. Did Saturdays result come because of this? Will it be used more often? Have we turned the Corner at Selhurst? the answer to all these questions is we don't know and we shall just have to wait and see.

The Man Of The Match vote for the Preston game is open and will close on my return from Nottingham so if you haven't voted yet please do so.

A couple of players got injuries yesterday that could see them miss the FA Cup replay at Notts County on Tuesday night. Par Karlsson went off injured with suspected concussion very early in the game, I spoke to Trond after the game and he hadn't spoken to Par but thought that he was just a bit Dizzy. Just before half time Kelvin Davis rushed out his area to clear a ball but was clattered by a Preston player. after that he didn't take any more kicks and was replaced by Paul Heald at half time.

The John Hartson transfer to Coventry may fall through due to the fact that Cedric Roussel doesn't want to leave Coventry. He is quoted as saying "This is a very difficult situation for me. I do not want to go to Wimbledon and, if I don't, it appears John Hartson won't be able to come to Coventry. I want him to come as much as anyone else, but I also think I have a big future at this club."

13/01/2001
Yes, Yippee, Magic, Wow So we have now doubled the number of 'Home' wins that we have achieved in the League during the 2000-01 season a 3-1 victory over Preston. Jason Euell scored twice and Mark Williams finished it off in a 3-1 victory.

The only stumbling block now on the Hartson deal is believed to be an unknown Coventry player who has to agree terms with us. It is now believed to be Cedric Rousell but this hasn't been confirmed by either of the Clubs.

There is a fair chance that Gareth Ainsworth will start his first match in over a year on Saturday when we face Preston North End.

11/01/2001
Wimbledon and Coventry have agreed a price for John Hartson and it is now subject to him being able to accept terms. There is a strong possibility that it could be completed before the games on Saturday.

A new rumour on the Coventry deal is that rather than the Defender Richard Shaw it could well involve the striker John Alousi. We shall wait to see what happens on this.

10/01/2001
The reserves were in action tonight against a very strong Arsenal team, that included David Seaman in goal. We lost 5-1. Paul Robinson scored our goal Arsenal had two penalties and Jermaine Pennant scored a hat-trick.

One player that played very well for us was Gareth Ainsworth and I wouldn't be surprised to see him start on Saturday.

The owners of Wimbledon FC are setting up a meeting with Supporters over the Milton Keynes situation. The meeting is due take place the week of the 22nd January. More details nearer and after the time.

09/01/2001
John Hartson could well complete a move to Coventry before the week is out. The deal believed to be £2.5 million up front and Richard Shaw (ex Palace, Centre Back).

Wednesday night see's the Reserves play Arsenal at Gander Green Lane 7:45pm kick off Gareth Ainsworth is likely to start the game so it could be worth going down to watch it.

08/01/2001
Our potential fourth round FA Cup opponents meet tonight when Bradford City play Middlesbrough. I think we all know who we would like to play if we get through!

The reserves are back in action this week and it could well see a full run out of Gareth Ainsworth after his appearance on Saturday.

Trond went off injured on Saturday after picking up a dead leg. It was a disappointing end to his Birthday also belated congratulations to Rob Geir who celebrated his 21st Birthday on Saturday.

If we can win the replay at Notts County on Tuesday week we will Bradford or Middlesbrough away play in the 4th round of the FA Cup

Teamtalk has a story that Coventry may be making a bid for John Hartson.

Although we have still to play a replay against Notts County to win the draw for the 4th round of the FA Cup is made this afternoon, as soon as I know who it is against I will put details in here.

06/01/2001
Welcome back Gareth Ainsworth after an injury hit Dons career he this afternoon returned as substitute in our match against Notts County.

The Notts County game was a match where two very good goals from us were cancelled out from two mistakes by us so a 2-2 draw and a replay at Meadow Lane on Tuesday week.

Following the game a sit down protest took place over the Milton Keynes story this was a spontaneous event and over 1500 people stayed behind.

Over 500 people have now signed the petition against the proposed move to Milton Keynes let keep it going.

A new Website is being launched over the weekend under the name of mknoway.co.uk the site is basic at the moment but should take development over the weekend, if you have any news or views that you would like to send the site please e-mail webmaster@mknoway.co.uk

Saturday see's us play Notts County in the third round of the FA Cup. The third round of the FA Cup is normally one of the best day's of the football year but at the moment a lot of Wimbledon Fans might be thinking what is the point, following all the talk about Milton Keynes. The only thing I would add is that to show our support for Wimbledon FC is to turn up on Saturday back the team show our support of Wimbledon. The number one important thing to remember is that no one must try to get on the pitch or create any trouble the media are likely to be watching for this sort of thing and if anything did happen any support that we have had so far will go out the window.

Peter Hawkins has spoke about the Watford game and said the following "I had a bit of a nightmare against Watford and I hope it will not cost me my place in the team. However, I appreciate that it is all part of the learning curve for me and providing I can steer clear of injuries I feel can play a role for the team this season."

Long day today started first thing with me doing a quick interview for the Wimbledon Guardian and finished tonight with another live interview on BBC London Live.

The club have issued a response of Milton Keynes is one of the options that we are looking at but it has a long way to go before it is completed.

The petition that has been put up has so far been signed by 196 people lets get loads of people signing it if you haven't just click the following link and then all you have to do is put your name in as simple as that. SIGN NOW

Lets be boring and talk football for a minute. Newcastle have been linked with a move for Marcus Gayle as they currently have a striker crisis.

Ok so here goes a Lunchtime update and a major one at that!

As rumoured yesterday plans have been announced for the possibility of Wimbledon FC to move to Milton Keynes, Yes you might say that you have heard it all before but this time I have the Gut feeling that there may be something in it.

The first thing for every football fan to do is to sign the petition to say they are against this. You can sign it by clicking the Following link.SIGN NOW

Bjorn Gjelsten has been quoted in the London Evening standard as saying the following

"Milton Keynes has a lot to offer and looks like the most realistic option. You name a place and we have probably looked there We have looked for alternatives in the south London area but it has been hard to come up with any that are viable."

I will add more on this later in the day as unfortunately I now have to go back to work.

03/01/2001
Terry Burton was rightly disappointed about the result on Tuesday night saying "We went to sleep for a while there and were punished. Our defence has been good all season but today we were a bit sloppy and subsequently lost the game because of it"

One player who may be back in the team on Saturday is Dean Blackwell who could replace Rob Geir who will be out suspended.

Yet again we are being linked with Darren Caskey of Reading who has apparently been a target of Terry Burton in the past.

02/01/2001
A 3-1 defeat tonight at Watford but in my opinion this was a really good end to end game. We took the lead through Gayle but by half time we were 3-0 down.

On a final note I would just like to have a moan about a group of our fans at the Watford game tonight. OK Peter Hawkins had a bad 20 minutes and perhaps cost us a couple of goals but why do fans have to boo him and start calling for Kimble to replace him? Peter is one of our future prospects and if this is how he is treated after a disappointing performance how can we expect him to be part of the future of this club. Peter has had some brilliant performance this season lets get behind the boys and not get on there backs when things don't quite work out. Thank you.

So how are we feeling? Did we have one too many last night?

With matches taking place in the country today I have added the Live Scores link again to find out the latest scores click here the times given are European so remember to take an hour off for the UK time.

However this season pans out I hope that next season we are still in the same division as Watford. Why? you may ask well not only are the are great club on similar lines to ourselves but they have one of the best web sites on the net. Anyone who has ever read the "Blind Stupid and Desperate" will know where I am comming from their pre-match views are just brilliant and spot on take a look I will guarantee you will not be disappointed. And If you really want a laugh check out their views on Man United (preview was written in German!) or Crystal Palace. These guy's also challenged us to Karaoke in the Farley earlier this season.

Apparently a flu bug has been going round the camp and could well mean that Marcus Gayle starts up front with Jason Euell on Tuesday night.

Happy New Year

No news at the moment but just to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
