We are close to signing Chris Willmott a 21 Central Defender from Luton.

Yesterdays Charity game was preceded by a TV Stars VS DJ's team on the DJ's team was Chris Phillips who managed to play the first 8 minutes of a 30 minute each way match all I can say is stick to the day job Chris. The TV Stars won 2-1 and for the last 2 minutes of the match Chris made a return as both squads joined the game and each side had 18 players on the pitch.

On to the Main game this was very entertaining the individual skills of the Jamaican players was top quality. The first goal was scored by Walter "Bad Boy" Boyd who started a run from his own half went round about 3 players before placing the ball past Paul Heald, The place erupted as Walter is the Jamaican fans hero. Jamaica scored a second goal in the second half before Ian Wright pulled one back with a quality finish did he milk the crowd you bet h did. In the last few minutes the Jamaican started to show off by juggling the ball. At the end the pitch was invaded by the Jamaican Fans it as a great day out.

The News Of the World and The People today reported that the dons are on the Verge of a Swap deal with Derby for Ekoku to leave and Dean Sturridge to join us both players wish to leave their current clubs and the deal would be valued at £5million. JK thinks that a Hartson Sturridge partnership would work well and I must say I think it would.

This afternoon I went to my last match of the season it was at Queens Park Rangers Loftus road ground and was a Premiership XI Vs a Jamaican XI. The Dons were well represented with current and old player in the line up's. Marcus was captain for Jamaica and the Premiership XI had Paul Heald, Warren Barton, Carl Leaburn, Andy Clarke and Damien Francis in the squad it was a brilliant afternoon and Jamaica won 2-1 and I will put a full report up tomorrow.

Teamtalk reports that we should sign Kasey Keller this week on a Free Transfer, and with Man united close to announcing their new keeper it could well see a lot of transfer activity.

29/05/99
Bradford City are believed to be interested in Mark Kennedy, Although Mark want to remain with the Dons Joe apparently has put him on the Transfer List this will be a shame as he is a player that we could see a good season out of next year.

28/05/99
This weekend is the deadline for getting Season Tickets at the reduced rate, although apparently the club will accept hand delivered form up to the end of next week at the reduced rate. Please check this to be on the safe side though.

Carl Cort has been selected in the England under 21 squad for the next two games.

27/05/99
After being told by Staff at Selhurst yesterday that no Pre-Seasons had been arranged details were made public yesterday it's nice to have helpful staff. We have games at Plymouth, Yeovil, Swindon, Millwall and at Cardiff, more details are on the Fixtures pages of my site and I will add pages to "Trains Planes and Automobiles" for the other clubs.

Marcus Gayle is playing for Jamaica tonight in a match against Sweden.

26/05/99
Had the pleasure of going to Selhurst Park today to drop my Season Ticket application form in, while their I asked about pre-season games and was informed by Carole that nothing had been arranged as of yet!

25/05/99
With the season now over a couple of Dons have important matches over the next two weekends. This Saturday Neil Sullivan get married and then next week Chris Perry ties the knot.

At Chris Perry's wedding life long dons fan and top program seller Rob Maylin is Chris's best man. I hope all goes well for all concerned.

Neil will not have to much time with his wife to be as he has been selected for the Scotland games over the next couple of weeks.

24/05/99
With news that the club are meant to be in talks with Kassey Keller (another ex Millwall player) this week Blackburn have today announced that Tim Flowers has been put on the transfer list he will cost in the region of £2 million but we will most probably go for Keller.

23/05/99
As expected the news on the Dons has begun to dry up now that the season is over (It's hard enough getting news when we are playing!).

Although no Dons news as you can see I have started making changes to my site and this will continue over the summer if you have any suggestions both good and bad I would like to here them so e-mail with comments and I will consider them.

22/05/99
The Norwegians have decided to sell up. Sam is away at present but is believed to be back today for the Cup Final. Where this leaves us is a bit of an unknown as they own 80% of the club. More will follow on this story over the next few weeks I would imagine.

With the season not even over by a week confirmation has been received that we will be playing in the Cardiff City Centenary Tournament over the weekend of 31st July/1st August. Check my Fixtures page for details and my new feature on away clubs that we play called Planes Trains And Automobiles for details on how to get there.

21/05/99
The club has denied that Ekoku, Roberts & Kennedy have been placed on the transfer list.

On Sunday Week (30/5/99) a Caribbean select team will take on a Premiership XI five Dons players are quoted as being in the sides thy are Marcus Gayle, Andy Clarke, Carl Cort, Carl Leaburn and Paul Heald. Before the main game a TV stars side will play a Music side and Chris Phillips is providing the music. The Match at Loftus Road should be a good day out and I will provide a match report on this site.

20/05/99
Following the earlier news that a clear out would be under way in the season it would appear that the first four players to leave or be put on the Transfer list have been told.

Peter Fear has been given a free transfer and is in talks with Wycombe although he has been linked With Man City, I liked Peter and wish him all the best for the future.

Efan Ekoku, Andy Roberts and Mark Kennedy have all been put on the transfer list, so far only Mark Kennedy has denied this. I think Mark should be given another season as his performances in the last few matches have been good.

If Andy Roberts has been put on the list it will look like Ceri Hughes has won the battle to the midfield spot.

19/05/99
My 1998-99 Player Of the Year Award goes to Dean Blackwell. Dean has been brilliant this year and does not get the coverage he deserves. He has also not been booked during this year and I don't think any other Defender in the Premiership can match that.

After the denial last night from the Palace administrators the papers went very quite on the story today, is this a ploy to get coverage away from it?

18/05/99
The administrators at Palace have apparently had talks with Sam Hammam about the merger of the us and Palace.

The Idea is the new club would be called the Selhurst Sharks! The only sharks I can see at Selhurst are the firm of administrators.

They have issued a statement today saying that it is unlikely to progress as the new team would move into the lower clubs division.

Unfortunately, these stories are appearing to regularly now and so there may be something in them.

Another thing that people may have overlooked is the fact that Selhurst is owned by Ron Noades and the agreement says he has to sell to Goldberg at CPFC so the new club would not be able to buy the ground.

17/05/99
Mick Harford has said he expects Joe to be back in charge for the start of Pre-Season Training on the 1st July. He said he has enjoyed being in charge but Joe is more than welcome to have the team back.

16/05/99
Marcus Gayle returned to the team following him playing for Jamaica.

Sullivan's reaction at the end of the game seemed to be that he is leaving in the close season. The current money is on him going to Villa.

15/05/99
Marcus Gayle has returned from playing for Jamaica so should be in the team for tomorrows game. Ben Thatcher is out with an ankle injury.

After last weeks game when we named some young players on the bench but did not use them it would be nice to think that a couple of them may get a run out at Liverpool.

14/05/99
Today is 11 years to the day since we won the FA Cup :-)

After the last couple of weeks of playing sides that have had something to play for we now have a chance to sign off on a high note when we take on Liverpool on Sunday.

Several players at both clubs could be playing to remain at their current clubs so hopefully we will play well and win.

13/05/99
We are believed to be close to offering Patrick Neumann (the German trialist) a contract following the couple of games that he has played for the reserves.

If Neil Sullivan is going to move in the summer it looks like he may go to Aston Villa. Mark Bosnich has been linked with a move to either Liverpool or Manchester United.

12/05/99
With the Season comming to end a couple of Dons (Kenny Cunningham an Mark Kennedy) have a couple more games still to play as they have been selected for the Republic of Ireland's squads for matches against Northern Ireland, Yugoslavia and Macedonia.

11/05/99
The reserved closed off there season with a 4-1 defeat by Gillingham last night. Although it was disappointing to lose the 1999 unbeaten run it was a very young team with two players on trial in the squad.

10/05/99
Marcus Gayle missed the match on Saturday as he was playing for Jamaica Vs South Africa the match finished 1-1 and Marcus scored for Jamaica.

The Reserves are in action tonight at Gander Green Lane for the last game of the season when we play Gillingham.

09/05/99
Both the News of the World and The People report that our Norwegian owners wish to sell the club. They report that it could be through one of three options
  1. Sell The club
  2. Merger with Molde FC
  3. Merger with another English Club

This I trust will get more coverage over the next few weeks but with Palace in the position they are in I hope they are not thinking of merging the two clubs.

Our pre-Season Games are believed to be in the West Country as we are meant to be taking part in the Cardiff City Tournament over the weekend of July 31st/August 1st This clashes with the Dennis Wise testimonial match.

08/05/99
Chris Perry, Kenny Cunningham and Andy Robert returned to the team with Jupp Thatcher and Gayle missing.

In the clubs player of the year awards there was a surprise when Neil Sullivan was given the award, although Sully season has been ok I think there have been a number of players that should of got the award ahead of him.

Jason Euell won the most improved player and this was well deserved.

On a slight off Wimbledon note congratulations to Sanchez and Gibbo on keeping Wycombe in the second Division.

07/05/99
Chris Perry is in the squad even though he has a broken bone in his foot. Marcus Gayle is away on International Duty but Andy Roberts returns from Suspension.

The right wing group Combat 18 have apparently sent threat letters to the Irish FA saying that Premier league Irish players may be attacked in the light of recent events in London we do not need things like this.

06/05/99
Southampton have sold their allocation of 9,000 tickets for Saturday's game so this should ensure another very large crowd if not a sell out.

The reserves last night managed a very comfortable 5-1 Victory over Cambridge United, this now means that they are unbeaten in 1999 their last game of the season is on Monday Night at Sutton.

Wimbledon Legend Dennis Wise is having a testimonial at Stamford Bridge on 31st July 1999 the opposition have yet to be announced but I would imagine that 1 or 2 dons players should be involved.

05/05/99
In The Sun's series on Vinnie he says "I Would still love to be Joe Kinnear's Number Two at Wimbledon" Wow Sam get on the phone now and offer him the job he also says "The thought of giving up football frightened me but now I am quite happy watching for the Wimbledon Leeds and Watford results down the pub on TV" what's the saying "Once a Don always A Don."

The Reserves are in action tonight at Sutton. The match is against Cambridge United and we should have a fairly strong team out as a lot of players will be in the Shop window.

One player we wont see in a Dons shirt again is Andy Clarke who has signed a contract with Barry Fry at Peterboro for Next Season best of luck Andy.

04/05/99
With Saturday being the last game at Selhurst of the what has turned into a disappointing season it will be interesting to see if Joe Kinnear makes an appearance on Saturday. If he does it is bound to give the Players and Fans a boost an perhaps the season could finish on a high note.

03/05/99
Our last Game of the Season at Liverpool is All Ticket and according to the Box Office we do not have many tickets left.

If you have not got one yet and plan to go I would phone up as soon as possible

02/05/99
Liverpool have now been linked with Edward Van Der Sar the Keeper that Man United are planning to sign. Could this mean that Sully's move to Liverpool will now not go through?

01/05/99
Chris Perry joined the Dons Fans at Coventry I asked him about his foot and he confirmed that he is out for the season.
