The news that we may buy Selhurst got a bit of coverage today but Ron Noades confirmed that Goldberg has until June 2003 and not June 1999 to find the money to buy the ground. Noades has also confirmed that the only deal that can be done is with Goldberg.
22/02/99
The Evening Standard reports that Sam is looking into the possibility of buying Selhurst Park. Is this the so called ground of our own? It is clear that Goldberg is in money trouble but he does not even own the ground Ron Noades does and is Sam thinking of a Merger with Palace? these are major questions and need answers now.
In another story we are linked with the best player in Belgium. Midfielder Steve Barbe has joined us on trial and is 19 years old. If he plays well he may join us for £750,000. he is a Belgium under 21 international.
21/02/99 - We are top of the League!! well the team that has now gone the longest since a league goal 387 minutes approx.... Another game another no score bore.

Team News for game with Villa is Fear and Goodman in squad Hartson suspended and Anisworth still not fit.
I went to watch Wycombe Vs Burnley today (2-0 Wycombe. Burnley reduced to 9 men) lovely little ground apart from being 6 light-years from the station.
19/02/99 - A couple of stories I may have missed over the past few day.
Carl Court's younger brother has gone for a trial at Oldham.
The Dons have chosen not to appeal over Hartson's ban.
18/02/99 - In last nights reserve game that finished 0-0 with Brentford both Andy Pearce and Peter Fear made there returns.
Andy Pearce marked his return with a booking within the first 45 seconds of the first half.
The dons also had two players from Iceland on trial Freyr Karlsson and Porarinn Kristjansson.
In a poor game the match was watched by a very low crowd approx.... 50.
17/02/99 - Reserves In action at Sutton tonight.
The disappointment at last nights result is very strong and after seeing the goal there is no doubt that it should of been called offside.
Ekoku says it is important to put the disappointment behind us and bounce back A.S.A.P.
16/02/99 - So the dream is over, no visit to Wembley this year.
The Times managed to put out a good spoof team of which only about 3 of the players played.
15/02/99 - The night before the big game, there are no places to hide now. The lads must go out and show that we are capable of playing on the big stage.
The injury list has now reduced to Ekoku and Gayle being doubtful but the rest having late fitness test. I have been informed that all players are fit and have spent the weekend at Bissham Abbey.
14/02/99 - Sports First reports the following: "Wimbledon are to head back to their spiritual home with a move away from Selhurst Park. Sport First can reveal that a move back to Merton Borough is on the cards, with the club currently in the process of preparing a stadium development grant application from the Football Trust. Sources close to the club and local authority confirmed last night that Wimbledon will soon be making an announcement of a return to a new ground 'in or around the borough'." Can It be true? Lets Hope so.
Man U Beat Fulham 1-0 and then draw Chelsea in the next round at home.
13/02/99 - No further news on the injury front.
Spurs drew 1-1 with Leeds in the FA Cup. Arsenal beat Sheff United 2-1 with the second goal coming from a situation where United had put the ball out of play due to an injury. Steve Bruce almost took his players off the pitch but the game will now be replayed after Venger suggested it should be.
12/02/99 - Bad news for the game with Spurs next Tuesday Duncan Jupp is injured! Joe Kinnear has said that we have 9 players having treatment. (M.Hughes, Gayle, Goodman, McAllister, Ekoku, Leaburn, Ardley & Thatcher) I trust this is a wind up or we just as well not turn up. No Game this weekend.
11/02/99 - Police have arrested 4 people for breaking in at Charlton in what police believe is an attempt to stop the floodlights working at Saturdays game Vs Liverpool. The are linked to a betting group in the Far East. Police are also looking into the games that had to be stopped a couple of years ago. Shame the lights didn't go out on Monday night we might have played better.
10/02/99 - In a short but sharp report in The Sun Joe Kinnear said "The player must buck their ideas up or else!"
09/02/99 - Following on from last nights poor performance the standard rightly says that if we play like that next week we can forget all hopes of getting to Wembley.
JK kept the players in the changing room for an hour after the game.
08/02/99 - Robbie and M.Hughes miss the game tonight. But John Goodman comes on a sub to give the Dons fans something to cheer about.
After Charlton Web site saying about our poor away support it should be pointed out that someone made a big mistake in the allocation of seats! around 50 Dons fans ended up standing for the first 20 minutes as the stewards worked out what to do.

06/02/99 - No Game for the Dons today. Results went well though with Leeds, West Ham & Middlesborough all being beaten. Man United hit 8 against Forest to stay top.
05/02/99 - The main news of the day and the big surprise is that it has been announced that reserve team manager Lawrie Sanchez has become the new manager of Wycombe. Lawrie who scored two of the most famous goals in Wimbledon's history beat off a whole host of candidates. Although perhaps not the most talented player to wear a Dons shirt we have a lot to be thankful to him for. Cheers Lawrie.
04/02/99 - The FA are still stalling over the appointment of Harry as the new England Manager!
Dennis Wise gets sent off for the 4th time this season in last nights Chelsea Vs Oxford Cup Tie.

After last nights defeat in the FA Cup (0-3) the reserves last night won 1-0 at Oxford.
Wimbledon are to appeal over Hartson ban.
02/02/99 - Hartson's ban is 4 games as the 1 match ban he also picked up was not included. Big Team changes for tonight's game M.Hughes, B.Thatcher and K.Cunningham not playing (Ardley, Kimble and Jupp replacing them) Kennedy also plays the first three are not playing as they are on 4 bookings and if they got booked tonight they would miss the second leg.
