With the season drawing to a close our injury list is getting longer. Ainsworth is now out for the season as he is having yet another groin operation.

Perry and Ardley are still out and Andy Roberts is suspended.

29/04/99
Last nights international results were very good for the Wimbledon players.

Sully kept a clean sheet for Scotland in Germany as they won 1-0.

Kenny Cunningham was man of the match for the Republic against Sweden with Mark Kennedy scoring in a 2-0 win.

Dennis Wise has been linked with a move to Sunderland for £1 million but it is believed he dos not want to leave London so a move back to the Dons could be on the cards.

28/04/99
Both Jason Euell and Carl Cort got a run out for the England under-21 side last night. Jason played the whole first half while Carl came on for the last 15 minutes.

In a game that was delayed for over an hour due to rain Carl had a chance to score the winner but missed due to the amount of water on the pitch.

Neil Sullivan plays for Scotland tonight in Germany.

27/04/99
After an unsuccessful period of 7 games with the Joint management team of Kemp and Harford the club have made the decision that Harford is now the official acting manager and Kemp is the coach.

This change was made on Friday but not announced until Monday. Hopefully this will mean that we will play well until Joe returns.

26/04/99
As Sully heads off to Germany with Scotland has his summer move to Liverpool fallen through?

At the weekend Liverpool were linked with Mark Bosnich and our performances over the last month have not been that good.

25/04/99
When Joe turned up at the training ground on Thursday he gave a list of In's and Out's of players that he wishes to happen in the close season.

One area we need cover in is a Right Back as when Cunningham is out or plays at Centre Back we look lost.

Marcus Gayle is organising an end of season game for the English based Jamaican players against an Premiership XI it will be played at Loftus road on 30th May 1999. once I get more information I will let people know more details.

24/04/99
Our place in the 1999-2000 FA Carling Premiership was guaranteed following the 1-1 draw with Newcastle. What should of been a relief for fans was spoilt by what can only be described as a strange tactical decision. With 15 minutes left MH/DK elected to take off Hartson and replace him with Kimble. This seemed to confuse the players and took all the enthusiasm out of the supporters.

Perry hopes to be back for the Southampton match.

23/04/99
A Win against Newcastle tomorrow should guarantee our Premiership place for 1999/2000.

Team News is that Chris Perry has broken a bone in his foot and could be out for the last four games.

In a terrible season for John Goodman he has gone back in to hospital for another operation on his knee.

22/04/99
Joe Kinnear today made his first visit back to the training ground. Mick Harford is quoted as saying that it gave the whole team a Boost. On this basis perhaps we could get Cadburys to make a visit as well. It's good to see Joe back on his feet and I am sure we will see him at Selhurst before the Season is out.

The England squad's were named today and the only player that have been called up are Jason Euell and Carl Cort for the under-21.

As expected the reserve game last night was called off.

Neil Merrick has added an superb feature to his already brilliant Web Site that allows you to find out the result of any Dons game that has been played since we joined the League in 1977. Follow the Link from my Main page or my links page if you want to give it a try.

21/04/99
The Reserves are in action tonight when they are due to play Gillingham at Gander Green Lane, although Sutton's game last night was called off so it may not go ahead.

On a note of my own yesterday was 3500 days since I last missed a Dons first team league or cup match.

20/04/99
Andy Clarke has been linked with a move to Peterboro this would mean that he would link up with Barry Fry again. Clarke is out of contract in the close season and would leave on a free transfer.

19/04/99
Perry missed the game due to the fact that he had an injury.

18/04/99
We are now 12th in the league after Spurs beat Forest, this almost certainly seals forest fate as they now need to win all there games and Blackburn and Charlton only get a point or so each.

17/04/99
The under 19 team are in action with a playoff game against on of the strongest youth teams in the country (West Ham). In the West Ham team could be Gavin Holligan and Joe Cole.

16/04/99
Another blank weekend with us not playing until Monday.

15/04/99
Although the season has not officially finished as of yet I have heard that the players pre-season tour will be to Norway. No UK fixtures have been announced as of yet but as soon as I here anything I will post it here.

14/04/99
Ekoku is likely to be out until next season after having a knee operation.

13/04/99
The reserves beat 2nd in the table Watford 3-2 in a very good game last night. Paul Heald played in goal.

We have been linked with yet another Goalkeeper this time Notts. Counties Darren Ward. The Story in the sun also say Sully will go to Liverpool for £5 million as reported by Marc Jones on his site a couple of weeks ago.

David Kemp has said that we have cost ourselves a place in Europe with the way that we are currently playing.

12/04/99
Reserves are in action tonight at Sutton where they take on Watford.

In a move to show that JK is getting back on form he sent the team a get well card. Nice touch Joe I think the team need it more than you at the moment.

11/04/99
Today's game gave us a few surprises on team selection. There was no Robbie and Michael Hughes played. Andy Roberts was in for Robbie and Carl Leaburn returned on the bench.

the club today published it's season ticket prices for the 1999-2000 season and the price of a seat in the Homesdale road lower tier will cost £190.00. The club claims this works out at just over £9.00 a game but with 19 games I think its £10.00 a game. No one can complain about this price and it was rather funny that it should be in the Chelsea program who's fans have the most expensive prices.

10/04/99
Gareth Ainsworth should make his first start at Selhurst this year against Chelsea on Sunday as Michael Hughes is now out for the rest of the season.

Chelsea's Frank Lebeouf has made his regular attack on us prior to the game saying that we cant play football without kicking people.

09/04/99
After playing most of the season Michael Hughes has elected to hang up his boots for the rest of the season and have his op. Although his season has not been as good as last year he has been a brilliant player for us again this year and lets hope that he returns after the summer 100% ready for action.

On Marc Jones's web site he has a story saying that Sully will move to Liverpool in the summer. Although this will be a disappointment it will not really be a surprise the price should be in the region of £5 million.

08/04/99
The Sun has a picture today of Vinnie Jones, Sam Hammam & Joe Kinnear at Ascot races. JK looks very well and relaxed in the shot.

In last nights action the reserves won 3-0 while the Youth team crashed out of the FA Cup with a 3-0 defeat at Coventry.

07/04/99
The Reserves are in action against Swindon at Sutton tonight, while the Youth Team play in the 6th Round of the Youth FA Cup at Coventry.

06/04/99
David Kemp said we must keep awake for the full 90 minutes not start playing after 30 minutes when 2 or 3 down.

He had words with the players after the game but would not tell the press what was said.

05/04/99
Team News - Cunningham Still out so Ardley at Right Back. Ainsworth starts first game in four months.

Thanks to David Kemp for the free tickets which meant that a lot of Dons Fans got refunds from the Boro box office.

04/04/99
As the team prepare for the trip north to Boro, we have no new injuries. Kenny faces a fitness test but I doubt he will play.
It would also be nice to see Gareth return to the team.
The People report that Brentford have signed Ben Abbey from Crawley Town a player we were meant to be looking at. He has scored 30 goals this season.

03/04/99
With Cunningahm out the defence needed a bit of a change Thatcher moved to Right Back and Kimble played Left back.
The Game on Monday at Middlesbrough is now not All Ticket and you can buy tickets on the day £20.00 Adults £10.00 for Kids.

02/04/99
Kenny Cunningham is out of the Man United game he has a Hamstring injury and did not train today.
I went to the training ground today Ainsworth took part in the full session and is almost match fit now.

01/04/99
The international games last night all resulted with defeats for Wales and Scotland. Hartson came on in a 2-0 defeat in Switzerland and Sullivan was beaten twice in a 2-1 defeat to the group leaders the Czech Republic.
Michael Hughes played in a 0-0 draw in Moldova but according to the Daily Telegraph he had a very poor game and needs hip groin op which he is due to have next week.
