Thank you for visiting my site. If you haven't signed the guestbook yet, please sign my guest book.

Please remember that this is a family based site and so keep all laungauge at a decent level. Anything written that I do not like will be altered but the basis will be the same.

Find your Player of the Match facility very frustrating as whenever I vote I am told I have already voted. It makes the results declared very suspect. How many others are denied the chance to register a vote? I have mentioned this to you in the past but I realise the vote is not conducted by you, but by others. Have you any idea how many others are denied a vote.

Cheers Terry. I had a good time on Tuesday night and it was a good close game. The freak goal at the end flattered us I think. Chipstead were very friendly in spite of the cold but the match showed why moving the league games to Whyteleafe made so much sense. I must have driven past that ground 100 times (on the way to the M25 as I live in South Croydon) and I've now finally been to a match there! I hope to see you at a Dons match soon :)

hehehe Terry..look out for the match sponsors on March 3rd..20 women who call themselves Terrys Tarts (not on your honour im afraid!) All of us are matchday volunteers taking the evening off! We did Sandhurst last season and decided to do our other favourite CCL club this season.

Well spotted Martin D yes I sponsor shirts and do Chipstead programme, I though it was a good game tuesday night I and you Dons brought a good crowd. It was great to see some old dons fans. I was a supporter from the 70s but got fed up at Selhurst about 5 years back, decided to go and support my local club Chipstead. It will be great to see the Dons in the Rymans next season Im sure that I'll creep along to see my old favourites. By the way it would be great to get the dons up at chipstead in a pre season friendly, it really is a lovely ground(especially in the summer) and a very friendly club. All the best for the rest of the season except 3rd March) Terry

OK I withdraw my advice about going to Chipstead. I live in Tadworth myself and am used to dark country lanes. If anybody should choose this route home (down hill) the last trains to Croydon are at 22:26 and 22:56. Whichever way you go have a safe journey. Ted

Glad to see Bassey do well in the man of the match at Farnham, he was fantastic and managed to stay on the pitch for the whole match. Also good to see Frodo back, Saturday would have been ideal for for him, still any muddy pitch will suit him for the next 3 months.

Hello Aideen Re: match at Chipstead best railway station to use is Coulsdon South, you should then be able to get mini cabs. DONT USE Chipstead Station anyone using this will be risking life or limb walking up to the ground no pavements or street lighting and I believe that if the game should go into extra time you would not be able to get back to East Croydon from Chipstead. Look forward to seeing a big crowd tomorrow night. Terry(just a helper)Antell

Hello you Dons supporters, hope to see lots of you aqt Chipstead on tuesday night, whatever you do DONT come to Chipstead station as the walk up the hill is a narrow country lane with no lighting + if game should go to extra time you wont be able to get a train back to East Croydon!! Best bet is Couldson. Have got a Wimbledo quiz in programme some of the older supporters should get the answers right. All the best in the league and in the Rymans next season.

Ted- I have walked from Chipstead station and it's all country lanes no pavements all uphill for a good 1.5 miles so the cab service from coulsdon sounds a lot better.

Chipstead - that taxi from Coulsdon station seems a but of a racket to me, I would say it is walkable from Chipstead station(East Croydon, platform 6, Tattenham Corner service). (Multimap, postcode CR5 3QN). Away the dons! Beware! This is a frost hollow so if predicted temperatures occur, check before travelling. Ted

Terry Antell...with all due respect, the game on Tuesday is in the middle of nowhere, miles from the nearest station and with practically no parking. Not forgetting the terrible weather forecast. That said,we are not really good as a club at buying tickets in advance as history shows we can always pay on the day anyway! Very disappointed with the result, supports (by me) abusing the oppo so much and action of players at the end (although I obviously don't know what caused it). I hope you don't mind me posting this on here. I am an Exeter City supporter. Our Club is now also owned by the supporters (through our Supporters' Trust). We are still working desperately hard to keep our Club going after years of terrible mismanagement. We are trying to raise money in any way we can. On our Trust web site we have a 'Marketplace' section where we auction all types of items, with the profit going to the Trust. We currently have 3 items which would, I'm sure, be of real interest to AFC Wimbledon fans. The items are: - Matchday programme from the Sandhurst Town v AFC Wimbledon game on 17.8.02 in the Combined Counties League Premier Division (first League match of AFC Wimbledon). (This item has a reserve price). - Special edition (only sold at game) pin badge to commemorate the Sandhurst Town v AFC Wimbledon game on 17.8.02. (This item has a reserve price). - A pristine copy of the matchday programme from Wimbledon's very first home league fixture - Wimbledon v Halifax 20.8.77 - a fascinating programme with a column by Chairman, Ron Noades, a profile on captain Dave Bassett and the legendary Dickie Guy in goal! (This item has a reserve price). We would very much appreciate it if you could pass the word around to your fans. If anyone would like to make a bid for any of the items, they can do so by visiting the site at www.ecfcst.org.uk, going to the 'Marketplace' section and clicking on the appropriate 'Make a Bid' link. Or you can email me direct at my email address above. Thanks in advance, and good luck for the rest of the season.

Well, the new 'Memories of the Dons' site is up at www.historicaldons.com It is by no means finished, in fact it has hardly started -I didn't realize the enormity of the task until I got started. There isn't much content as yet but it will happen! If you do wish to look around, just click the links towards the bottom of the home page - the rest of the site is either empty or under construction. I think the guest book works and I would be grateful for any comments and contributions.

2 bad results? Calm down people!! not many teams make it to January before they drop league points and going out of the Vase at this stage (and at the first attempt, and having had to qualify, and to possibly a more experienced and definitely much longer established club) is certainly no disgrace. I would be willing to put my house on AFCW going on to win the CCL (add in the Franchise to be relegated and Edinburgh City to win the East of Scotland Cup in today's final and I've got a nice little accumulator!). Sure it would have been nice to win the vase and really put us back into people's minds, but promotion is the priority this year. DON'T PANIC!

Derek - I love the way Andy Leader says he wanted a draw and to get us back to their place. He may rather have forgotten that after the fiascos at Bashley this was still their home game and any replay would have been at Kingsmeadow. Still he semms to struggle with reality a bit from what one can read.

There can be little doubt that Matt has been our best player of 2003. Someone who is immaculately turned out, would win every header and send it 20 yards from any part of the pitch, rarely lose a tackle and would shout sergeant major like at the team even when 5-1 up at Bedfont....So was it his brother playing against Horley and Walton, who was quiet throughout, often out of position and seemingly a weak link. Come on Matt your form of old is vital to us for the rest of the season.

Paul, thought you might want to see this from the Southampton Echo: BATTLING BAT left Kingstonian's Kingsmeadow ground with their heads held high after bowing out of the third round of the FA Vase 1-0 to cup favourites AFC Wimbledon. Dons' Gavin Bolger thumped home their winner from the edge of the penalty area in the 36th minute but BAT's Paul West was desperately unlucky not to net a second-half equaliser when his shot rolled inches wide of the upright. "From the first minute to the last minute, we were absolutely magnificent today and I couldn't be more proud of every single one of my players," purred BAT boss Andy Leader. "Wimbledon are a great side and if they go on to win the competition then good luck to them but I'm very disappointed that we're not to be coming back here for a replay. "We could have sneaked a draw, we had three chances to clear the ball before they scored and we had the best chance of the second half when Westie rolled the ball just the wrong side of the post. "Every single one of them was magnificent and they came off the pitch to a standing ovation from a crowd of 3,000. They were an absolute credit to the Wessex League. "It's been a magnificent occasion to play in front of a crowd like that and I don't say this too often but there was honour in defeat today," added Leader.

Brettus - The 7 Seven is a tradition that its the only score where the BBC vidiprinter spells it out after the number due to the high number of goals scored. If your really sad (like me) there is a whole section on a danny baker video regarding it :)

Hi! Paul. Just a quickie to say that I went to the Ladies match with my Grand-daughter. and met some of the lads that were there. It was a pleasure to finally meet them I hope it will not be long before we see each other again. It was a pleasure to chat to them. we went down 6-2. but our first goal was a cracker from a free kick. our last was a goal mouth scramble in the last minute. but still it was great seeing the ladies from wimbledon. speakagain soon. (OH! thanks for match info this morning.)

What I mean is on the Saturday or whatever day the programme is produced list all past results/ future fixtures. Does not matter if it is not up to the minute BUT would give everyone any idea of whats happening in the league.

Nice to see that the old guard have been turfed out, and players who openly give a flying u-no-wot (can't swear on here) have their name up in lights. Now, if they could be made a bit more readable... :)

Bob - 13:30 will be fine as it will be the same as a terrace entrance as they are all unallocated seats. you just say how many seats you need pay the money over and get that number of tickets back. we have done it at other games and it works.

Hope they start selling stand tickets before 13.30 on Saturday. If the booth is the only place to buy one it could get a bit chaotic with the queue ending up stretching around the car park.
