Is the administration a ploy? I'm not so sure, I know the nogs were loaded but thats a hell of a loss they made last season - low gates & merchandise sales, no ITV digital money etc. Those extra few months at Selhurst hopefully did the trick! Administration isn't the end of the world anyway - loads of clubs have been there and come back stronger afterwards - don't laugh at Koppell just yet.

Re CM4. You apparently can play as AFCW. You have to visit the CM4 website and make sure that you download upgrade packages 1&2. Then go over to WISA chat, where a chap called Geoff Stockham (the other Edinburgh Don!) has put a download on there. He assures me that it works!

u can't play as afcw on championship manager, u can only play against them in friendlies or in cup matches. i reckon this admin thing is some sort of a new ploy by koppel, 4 some reason!

Nick. if only you knew the hold that Koppel had on the players you would know that if they said anything they would have been sacked.just like you if you work for a company that did not like you saying anything about how they operated.

I don't feel sorry for the players. They knew the score. Had they all spoken out as one against the MK move they could have put a huge dent in the plans. maybe even scuppered it. Sod 'em!

At last it's happened they have gone into admin after they said that they would survive.reading the text on tv the admin said that the move to the cow patch was essential now. for the club to move forward. I feel sorry for the players. but let's hope somebody buy the club and brings it back home. if not then they should do the right thing and fold. it will then show the rest of the football world that francising will not work. a club is a club for the people and not for the greedy.

Yes - looking forward to meeting up for a few beers and pre - season friendlies. Have you renewed your season tkt? Wonder how many have been sold? Anyone know?????

When the footie season is at a close I find Morris Dancing a great way to relax and release my pent up emotion. I just love prancing up and down, jiggling those bells and wacking my 'stick' against other 'members'. You should try it.

Frostie - I am sure that Terry is looking round to find the best players for the team. I know once again we have had loads of CV's sent to the club so I presume that if the right player is avaliable they will join us.
Paul Raymond (webmaster@itmustbedons.com)
Tooting, London England - Friday, May 23, 2003 at 12:31:19 (PDT)
Totallty agree with Will (May 20th)- we need some decent strikers. Ali is only of (limited) nuisance value; Joe -nice bloke that he is - would be playing at a higher level if he really was as good as all the spin (ex-Chelsea 1st team, etc.)anyway, too many fags!! and although I admit Coops has scored a few for us this season the team WOULD have scored more if he knew how to pass the ball. I'll probably get slated for this: but in the few appearances that Andrew Petty made I saw a raw aggression/eagerness to put himself about. Although he lacked experience he wasn't short of committment. - Where is he now? Don't get me wrong, I'm AFC through & through. I'm not slagging off the team - just giving a personal opinion which happens to have been frustrating me during the season. Come on Terry get us a couple of decent hungry strikers!

The idea that Cooper actually lost the clubs points this season is as inaccurate as Will's use of the keyboard. Yes he was selfish but there was far greater pressure on him to score because Russell & particularly Sheerin could not, with Everard and Oakins far more effective in front of goal. If you want to blame people for points lost, and there were not that many, look at Bell, Ward, Nicholas and Shimmel first.

About 38ish wasn't it? Does that mean that he's a great striker. In this league, if he'd known when to pass a ball, both he and the other striker would have been able to get that figure. His selfishness may have won many games, but maybe also cost us some dear points that could have got us promotion.

er..yes paul. efan would be better than we've already got! though not the greatest striker in the world, we haven't a decent striker and that's our weakness. Coops is the most overrated player we've had since Dean Holdsworth, can'r header and has about a 1 in 100 shots strike rate, Russell does little and Sheerin (tho evidently has class) isn't a goalscorer. So, yes efan would still be a good acquisition.

This is from the http://www.nomad-online.co.uk/ website concerning Sussex football teams...it would appear that we might not be playing Withdean next season after all.... 'It was reported today(14may) that Withdean 2000 have been denied promotion to the Ryman League, and have been left homeless after a decision by Ryman officials to stop them ground-sharing with Worthing FC. Withdean were a year into a three year agreement with Worthing. However, the decision by the Ryman League leaves Withdean without a ground. With nowhere to play, they cannot compete in any league in 2003/04. They are permitted only limited use of their own ground, Withdean Stadium, which is of course used by Brighton & Hove Albion. Withdean are appealing against the Ryman League ruling but if they are not successful, the club faces a bleak future. The club shared with Horsham in 2001/02, but with County League clubs prohibited from ground-sharing there appear to be very few options available'. It seems the W2000 squad will get the chance to hone their diving skills at RADA next season instead of on the pitch...

I bet you started watching the old WFC in the glory days. You forget that many people here have been around since the non league. Me personally since 1984 (and that all stopped last season). I bet you arrived on the scene in May 88 or in the years that followed. Bye bye glory hunter. Well, actually those days are long gone.......................:):):):):)

Everdon - Also ask you Mr. Krappell quite how a team who sold £21m worth of players in 2 years is certain to go bust. Also having been certain to not see out last summer how they have miraculously survived on 2,700 per week, no merchandise or catering sales. Will the real answer of them relocating to sell the land to supermarkets and then sell the club for nothing be any surprise to you and the deluded who still support them?!
Richard B another Wiltshire Don
- Friday, May 16, 2003 at 01:30:41 (PDT)
Everdon - Go bust!. You poor shortsighted fool. According to Krappel the club would go bust without moving immediately. They don't move...and guess what, they don't go bust. Losing millions a day or whatever the spin is. You and the FA have been royally had....just so a land deal in MK can be put together. Come over from the darkside and feel the good side of the force!

Everdon - pining for the club? Abuse on the "Wimbledon" FC messageboard? You really don't understand do you? Let me explain - we want you to go bust. Seriously. We want you to fall flat on your face in public, with the most painful, embarrasing and downright guilt inducement you could ever hope to experience. When we bother you, it's not because of some deep desire that we were back at Franchise, being lied to, having our intelligence insulted, feeling that we should be grateful that we were playing pro football (and doffing our cap like the grateful wretches we are). Oh no. It's because we feel so betrayed by what has happened. Anger is an energy, as some famous punk once sung. Why do your lot still consider yourself "loyal"? Loyal to what? A club with zero respect? A club that cannot get a pre-season? That's a club with severe problems. MK or bust? Yeah, right, there's something that people with a degree of self respect have, it's called honour. Something that you don't have. I'm glad you're keeping off these guestbooks, the very thought of your lot polluting them with this poor-little-old-me stuff trying to get sympathy and trying to drag us wised-up souls down to your lousy, low, self-defeatiest level in order to justify your pathetic options in life just ranks. You impress no-one. You gain nobody's sympathy. You're just zeroes. Don't bother trying to defend yourself, you can't. Live with it.

The reason I am using this site is because so called afcw fans are abusing wfc supporters on our own message board. It seems to me that they are still pineing for the club. All we have done is to continue support our club. Why should we take this abuse we did not force the move.We have just stayed loyal.Sooner we play in MK than go bust. You have your new team we still got ours.I will not post on here again, sorry for the trouble I have caused.

Adrian, Jonah was indeed involved. They actually used that footage in the court case with Fash, Segers ....etc. Somehow they wangled.....and please don't feel this is sexist.....a jury with 10 women on it, none of whom were obliged to have any footie links in order to maintain impartiality!. Asked if they could see any wrongdoing they said he's fallen over and accidentally hit the ball, Fash as you recall said he was pushed despite the fact there was NO-ONE near him.....and laughed all the way to Malaysia. EverDon. Fash certainly scored a few but fixed results too many times. Will never forget his double handball against Sheffield Utd at Plough Lane because he had a packet on Sheffield to win. The ref twigged though and never gave the second pen. Still, he scored more than he deliberately missed.

What is the reason for us not entering the FA Cup? A couple of the chaps on the commitee with me at Edinburgh City have already worked at Bradford Park Avenue and Billericay Town. They seem to think that in order to compete in the FA cup, a club needs only to be registered with its regional FA - nothing about this having to wait until we've competed in the Vase and trophy first. Can you shed any more light on this Paul (or anyone?)?
