Thanks to the Brighton fan and to the Chipstead goalie. Who can blame any non-league player if they want to play for us! I hope Brighton succeed and Tranmere, etc. Who reckons the game will be off on saturday?

All the best for the New Year from a Brighton fan. I think the support for your club in the CCL is fantastic - it just shows the depth of feeling against franchising. I hope you can achieve your ainm for a permanent home in Merton where the true Wimbledon belongs. The proposed move to Milton Keynes is a disgrace. Wish us luck in our attempts to build a new ground at Falmer, which has gone to a Public Enquiry. I hope we both succeed. It's a fight we must both win!

Just thought I'd post a message to say how much I enjoyed the banter on saturday and to congratulate you on the tremendous support you give your team. Sorry to say but I still see AFC Wallingford and Withdean as the top two but good luck for the rest of the season. I maybe look forward to playing against you somewhere, somewhen in the future.

How about we get sponsorship from BUPA next season? Seems that the team enjoy giving us fans heart attacks from sloppy defensive play! On a serious note - great entertainment yesterday at the Chipstead game. Really enjoyed the comeback.

After the disappointment of the postponed match yesterday - I went to see the 2nd half of Merstham v Chipstead. The pitch was a mess, game ended up 1 - 0. Merstham's long haired (bird look a like) got sent off for spitting by the 'school boy' ref we all know about. Chipstead looked solid at the back (especially no.5) but just could not score. Att: 100 approx.

Alan - The Watford fans made it to the ground before the game was called off and were invited into the presidents lounge knowing one or two of the lads they wouldn't have gone to Selhurst any way. They are good lads and we kicked there buts at Karaoke the other year in the Farley :)

It was a shame yesterdays game was called off - it would have been a great comparison: 2,600 at Selhurst (mostly Watford & comp tickets) and 4,000 at Kingsmeadow!

Yet another match called off due to the lovely British weather(!!) We made our way back home with our spirits very low - and that's an understatement! Encouraged by the fact that there are only two days to go until the Chipstead match - all fingers crossed, please, that the weather doesn't mar THIS one! Since Christmas has now passed, I'd like to wish the club and all its fans - especially you, Paul - a very prosperous 2003!

Worrying announcement by Fulham yesterday. They moved out to share someone else's ground as a 'temporary' measure, but now, on reflection it might be a little difficult to return home as the cost is 'prohibitively expensive'. They will have to explore other 'sensible options'. Of course it is the local residents fault (who have failed to block the cottage redevelopment). Does anyone think this sounds familiar? Will Fulham fans soon find that the 'sensible option' is a 140 mile (or more?) roundtrip for a home game? At least Fulahm fans cannot say they weren't warned.

Paul, re the 100pts, I would expect us to get this as (i) 12 of the 17pts we dropped in the 1st half were from the first 7 games & (ii) we have played the three stongest teams away, all of them inflicting defeats on us, and I think we should be able to reverse these results at home. Although this suggests we would exceed the 100pt mark, my forecast position is only 3rd. Have a great Christmas.

I am not quite sure what ALAN & JOHN are going on about. Have a look at teh T&M website. The ground looks very smart with rooves at either end. Yes the side for standing is narrow and without a roof but presumably could be improved. The whole design is is far beyond the Knight of the realm who built the dreadful Millennium Bridge certainly far better than the Grolsch stand at Kingsmeadow. To me this is not a bad move at all and am looking forward to it.

The important word in my post about T&M is "may" so far nothing has been signed so the reports saying we "will be" at T&M next season are wrong. All I would say is that I am sure that the Board of the Dons Trust and AFC will do the right thing.

But what if Brentford does NOT want to move to Kingsmeadow. We might move to a worse ground without need to. The pros and cons need to be discussed in an open and logical way.

Next time I get a chance I will go to T&M but the picture seem to show a partly covered end. Dont forget one of the reasons this may come about is because wwe are kicked out of Kingsmeadow (for brentford to move in) so it's alright saying I like Kingsmeadow but we might not have a choice.

I have never been to the new Tooting's ground (only Sandy Lane). I have been told, however, that there is no covered end. This worries me alot because any atmosphere will be rather lost - a bit like the old selhurst days when we had no roof. Can anyone tell me if this is true. If it is then I think we should get planning permission for a covered end if possible. Also we dont want our wives, girlfriends, children, OAPs, etc getting soaked every time it rains!

Paul, I've looked on the official site about getting to the ground for the Walton game tomorrow but it only mentions the bus plus that the nearest rail station is Hersham. Is our only option to get the train from Wimbledon to Hersham, then the bus? I remember doing that last time and the buses were one every hour with the one we needed, cut out so we ended up having to get a cab. Any suggestions as to how to make the journey easier?

Mark Yeadon, Know what you meant ref: 3,500 capacity but having looked on the Web site it looks really well designed and seemingly bigger than the 3,500 stated. The ends are big if the side a bit narrow but presume expansion would be no problem. I think it could be an excellent next step taken.

Capacity at Kingsmeadow is 4,215. Seats are already sold out (about 1,100) and I think there are about 800 terrace STs. Therefore there are 2,000 odd terrace tickets available. I reckon we sold at least 500-1000 from the kiosk on Saturday. I'd advise anyone to contact/mail the club to get their tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. A sell-out would be brilliant!

Is this the same Buckingham Town that AFC Wallingford beat 8-0 two seasons ago in the B&B Trophy, and should have scored about 15 if your keeper wouldn't have had such a blinder?

I try not to criticise the refs. as it is all too easy and mistakes are only natural but the one yesterday was verging on the corrupt. He was incredibly one sided and again we had a player sent of for 2 nothing offences. You would normally expect a crowd to intimidate them into becoming 'homers' but this seems to work totally the opposite way round in our case. To think he did not want to even give a freekick to us when Kevin Cooper was sandwiched and pushed before the first goal. I hate to say it but a really pitiful performance and so one sided throughout.

He played for 30 minutes, was ill and I am sure by his own admission had a nightmare! Is someone trying to rig this?!?

From Sunday 8th Dec. A message, as sent to me from a friend of mine in Germany… ‘Hi Steve! Believe it or not, but today AFC Wimbledon was quite an important issue in German TV. How the fans made a pubjoke become a reality and so on. All the disappointed supporters were heard, but you.....! Although this is not an issue for us here, we really pay our respect to the fans of AFC W. It was on SAT1, the German channel showing Bundesliga on ‘free’ TV. The feature was about 7 or 8 minutes long and showed the chairman (unemployed) and a secretary (also unemployed) doing the day to day business. First did make some statements concerning honesty to club and fans related to business aspects. Generally the outcome was to favour the AFC and to condemn the FC Wimbledon’. It’s good to know that bending a few ears to friends and anyone else who’ll listen about the new Dons seems to propagate more and more interest about the club and the fantastic achievements of all those involved. I haven’t seen AFCW for a few weeks, 3 weeks ago I was in the Maracana, Rio , capacity 125000, attendance 12020 (Franchise proportions!). Roll on Saturday, to the real home of football….!! Hope some of those ‘AFCW owners’ fleeces are left!?’

It's interesting to look back through the MOTM votes this season. Goalscorers in any particular match frequently seem to have won those votes. Perhaps that's not surprising and there's no doubt we've needed Cooper's goals this season, but without Robson's industry on Saturday we could well have lost. Our defending remains naive and badly organised and Passmore just doesn't get into games, so a lot of responsibility falls on Robson's shoulders.

Some good comments this weekend. Totally agree that Neil Robson was clear man of the match. How many people vote purely on the list of goalscorers?!? The defending of corners was quite dreadful and when you look at 5 of th 6 goals we let in at Wallingford and on Saturday you really wonder what is going on. A few weeks ago Tony & Mark looked really solid but the last 3or 4 games have been a total mess. Also see Lee Passmore has a MOTM vote...nice to see he clearly has access to the internet.

2 things. Firstly I would agree that defending free kicks and corners needs to be worked on and we look dodgy with balls whipped in. I think the last 4 goals have all been from corners! Secondly I have heard that one of the Enfields might pack in next year. If this is the case then another place will be open in the Rymans and therefore its imperative that we keep momentum going looking for at least 2nd spot in the League.

Really enjoyed my first taste of the AFCW experience yesterday, and I'm sure uncle Stelios and his little orange planes will fetch me back for more! It was nice to see a few familiar faces with smiles on them again although I thought I had jinxed us after 20 minutes! Watched the FA cup draw today and with a few balls left, Franchise, Arsenal and Man Utd were still in the hat - old CK must have been rubbing his hands. Let's hope that Rotherham can complete a nice cup double. Did anyone else hear Sam's comments that he sees the FA cup as a chore "like paying taxes it's just something you have to do". Hmmm, don't remember him saying that in '88 when it netted him a few bob. I was a little worried that watching AFCW just wouldn't be 'the same'as watching 'my Dons', but the atmosphere and the commitment of the team were superb and all my worries vanished. Would have been nice to have heard 'We Are Wimbledon' for the teams coming out though.

Great game but defending corners worries me. Might be wrong but there are a number of problems in this department such as: 1)We dont attack the ball 2)We dont attack the second ball 3)Shimell looks a decent shop stopper but less able in the air 4)Sometimes no-one gets in front of attacker on near post eg first goal What do you lot think?

As I said on the W&WW site I stand by my comments that if Koppelshite and the Nogs left tomorrow and a new owner took Wimbledon back to London (south refered) tomorrow then I for one would be 110% behind them aswell as AFC, I can't and won't forget the team that I supported so whole hearted for so many years. I truly not interested in Franchise as the whole sitiuation depresses the hell out of me, I'm V proud of the AFC team and the staff who have worked so hard to form it but I can't help the way I feel...I wil always blame the FA for this mess
