To the person that has had a dig at Ronan leave it out. If you like it or not Ronan is a major person in WISA and he chose to post it on WISA which he is the webmaster of and you bring it up on here. I say no need. And Ronan pleased to see that you are alright.

ffs, can we stop acting like 12 year old girls and just get along with each other? Andy, if you do not care about what happened to ronan, then don't read the thread. The fact that you read it, and spent time comming here to post about it, shows that you do in fact care. Perhaps you are a little jealous of him? Just a thought.

Andy - agree re: this is a football site - I wasn't the one who brought up the subject here. However, you don't know me (or at least I haven't the foggiest who you are - probably too busy with my self-infatuation to take any notice of you), so unless you take the time to get to know me - try not to talk out of your arse.

Here we go again WISA cronnies having a go at people as always. TBH honest I couldn't give a monkey's about who has had what done to them, this board is about football not the fact that someone can't defend themselves against a couple of 16 year olds. Besides it was an obvious attempt to gleam sympathy, because that individual craves attention. Happy with the result last night, not to sure it should have got that far. We should have spanked that lot considering the difference in league positions. Up the AFCW

AFCW fan, I can't believe your reaction to what Ronan posted. It's such a shame that you appear not to care a jot about what he went through, and WISA Chat is something that is used for fans to talk about other things, especially as it has non-football threads. BTW, next time, when you want to address people in that way, why don't you supply you name, coward.

Simon F - actually I posted mine as a reply to Joe's (it was HIS true parentage I was doubting) because I think his message is just a wind up, OK? As it appears now, in the wrong order, mine looks like it's a reply to yours, which it isn't. Is that all clear? I'm off to re-read my birth certificate.

What are the chances of someone even bothering to post an apologetic message claiming they are going back. Clearly a wind up probably from the hermaphrodite from Buckingham who has nothing else to do or maybe even from dear Charles himself. Please let us not put a string of patronising responsing saying you can do what you want to do. Just ignore it. Also Simon what do we presume the F to stand for?

Joe, as someone else quite rightly said - it is your choice to do what you want, but think about it; WFC Ltd don't give a monkeys about you or any of us. All Koppell's pontificating about setting up a fans forum etc is a pile of nonsense. He doesn't even care about the team otherwise he would have found a better manager than stooge Murdoch. If you can't take to non-league football (and it isn't everyone's cup of tea) why not follow a different club who may at least appreciate your support rather than just take the piss out of you?

OK. Time to move on from slagging off other teams and worrying about our own. Let's have some predictions, so we can all laugh at everybody else at the end of the season. For what it's worth, here are mine (and if I'm wrong I'll buy everyone a drink in the Red Lion in Hackbridge!) The crucial game will be at home to Wallingford on 29th March. Whatever the result of that one, we'll get a top four finish. Too optimistic? Well, Withdean and Ash have both started to drop points (2-2 at Sandhurst is not a brilliant result) and the more progress Wallingford make in the cups, the less league games they play, leading to fixture congestion, fatigue, injuries etc. Meanwhile, we're starting to sort out some of our problem areas - we've now got a good keeper, the back four have begun to gel, Sidwell and Sullivan look useful in the wide positions, Cooper will always nick goals, Sheerin is starting to show some form and I think Russell give us a lot more options up front and we'll never need to play 4-5-1 again! It's not going to be straightforward, but we'll be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.
Big John

Ash you can't get promoted with just a field as a 'ground'. I agree with Hash, your lot were outplayed until Ward got sent off, there was not much to impress me. However, Ash are top so good luck to them. As for Wallingford, they sound pretty good and it seems they have money and plans to upgrade their facilities

To Ash and Hash dont matter what scoreline you beat teams by you still get 3 points. I see last week AFC Wallingford scored there only goal in the 86 minute I am sure they were more than happy with that final scoreline.

Richard B, Im not geeting panicky just simply pointing out my worries. Please dont tell me to go somewhere else if I dont agrre with you and others, because that sounds childish. Lets hope Kris or Ivor dont tell fans to go and support someone else if the results dont go the way fans want over thne next couple of weeks. It would be very lonely at Kingsmeadow otherwise. My only last comment would be that I still think some fans dont understand non-league football. Us AFC fans are very lucky, because even though we play in the CCL, when you go to home or away games it feels like a 2nd or 3rd division game because of the fans. I just want to express my opinion because it would upset me greatly that in two - three years time we could end up being a normal CCL side ( having 30 fans and a dog). Thats why I hope we understand and use the big potential we have got. The only sad thing about me is I would still travel for an hour and a half for that anyway.

Hi All - An interesting discussion been going on over the last few days and that is always nice to see. Martin D, I would ask that you dont leave the guestbook as you make some good points the thing to remember is that some fans will have the same views as Stu and Jamie but they will never post on guestbooks so if they can see two supporters having a discussion about it they might not join in but find it beneficial, as I have said in the past if everyone in the world thought the same way life would be very boring. :)

Stu apart from being surprised at how much you have written in the last week I entirely agree that there is every chance that by the end of the season there may only be 4 players left and no I have no social life with the players but as I keep saying for the thousandth time it is the second week of September for goodness sake. I heard today on the radio people wittering on about how Man .Utd. would not win the league because they lost a game. This is as ridiculous. As mentioned by th elast message this is my final post on the subject. No for god's sake stop worrying or find some glamorous first division side who will never return to the Premiership who are on their way to the eat midlands to support.

Martin D, I think your getting a little bit too heated up on this. I apreciate us having no ground and no share of income of facilities. You miss the point I make. I dont feel we have to splash cash around at players. We should be able to atract them due to the fans we have and that we make playing a non-league game feel like a proper league game. How much do you seriously think a top conference players is on????? As for what do I want out of this, well its a hard question. I love watch football at any level, I used to manage a Sunday league side and even when we had sundays off, I would go and watch another game just for the fun off it. As I have said all along, I think it would be sad to be complacent and just keep saying that this is the best we can get. We should never be happy, otherwise there is no point being a football fans. Fans always have un-realistic dreams, thats what makes us go back for more. I am aware that Kris and Lou dont get much out of this but the love of doing it. Personally I dont think a ground is much of an issue at the present time unless Kingstonians kick us out. If we progress to conference standard then of course we need a ground, but this all goes back to wether we can find a site suitable enough in the borough. I suppose we will finally se if Merton or KC were bluffing!!! Martin, please dont get stressed at myt arguments. I think it is healthy to have a debate, and as I have said many a time, it is very boring to agree all the time!!!

This will be my last post in here because I feel I'm not being understood. Stu, no-one has ever questioned your committment to Wimbledon. I would have good money on both you and I still being here arguing in 10 years time :) But I would like to know what you want out of this? Every club is ambitious, and we are, more than most at our current level. But we are also realistic. It is time for some facts. Firstly, we DO NOT own our own ground. We MUST pay more than fans at corresponding clubs because of this. We DO NOT make money from the conference/event facilities at KM or the bar just as we didn't at SP. I trust our finance director, Erik Samuelson, and Lou CK implicitly due to the massive amount of work they have done and their inate professionalism. What is the point in paying loads of money to players until we get this situation sorted? BTW The club does not make as massive a profit as you would think. The club's profits WILL NOT be able to buy us Plough Lane, let alone build a stadium on it - hence the DT fund-raising group. AFCW's role is to provide a solvent club for us to watch playing at the highest level possible UNTIL we get a permanent home sorted out. Secondly, it has taken Aldershot (with their own ground) almost ten years to get to the Ryman Premier, and they are finding it mighty hard to get out of it and up to the Conference. The point I made below is that of course everyone wants to return to the league and (hopefully) rub MKFC's and the FA's noses in it, but it will be a massively difficult and time-consuming task, and it may never happen. All I ask you to do is be aware of that.

Richard B, Its not suprising that Jamie has backed me up as he is one of my good mates, but he normally tells me if I am talking out of my backside normally. So Richard, tell me in 9 months are you goingt o post 'Well it has only been 9 Months, what do you all expect@ because to be honest that sort of coment bores me to death aswell. I dont believe you have to wave the cash around anyway. I know some of my mates who were not convinced about the new team to start of with, but once they come for one game they were blown away by the atmosphere and the crowd. Its like having a 2nd div attendance in a 4th div of non league status. Its unreal, but I dont think people should get carried away because we could quite lose that interest if we sitt back and say well we aint been formed long have we, give them a break. The fans have not turned once on players and they wont for a little while. If I was paying £3 like the rest in this league, I would settle for what I see and not get concerned, but to pay what we do and not be amitious is silly. People of every guestbook seem to just want to be best mates with the players and keep saying how great it is to have players that love the club. Well I would rather have 11 players who dont give a shit but get us out of the league in quick time. Yes, you do need a settled side, but not one that loves everyone. Anyway, I think by the end of the season we will have no more than 4 players in the side who began the season.

Well having monopolised the message Board for the last week and heard from a dozen other fans saying the same thing Stuart you have now founfd in Jamie who agrees. I still have to say for goodness sake we are not even half way through September and I will say it again, there was no AFCW 3 months ago. As for Jamie's idea that we shold start waving money around did you really expect us to be in the football league in 5 years?!? I have seen nothing so far to suggest that Terry does not know what he is doing but if this itchy feet scenario is with us already with some supporter what will it be like in March/April, wherever we are in the table. I am afraid I remember the Non-League and 3/4th Division days and Wimbledon have always punched above their weight, they are not a big team, but there are plenty in London if that is what you need. Let us just concentrate supporting the damned team rather than this very boring whinging, because for some extraordinary reason we are not top of the table already, then we might achieve something. A certain something that will take a number of years to achieve and NOT 2 Months.....

I must agree with Stuart! I will be an AFC fan all my life now but if I think that we are underachieving I will say so, like Stu has, but for some reason people are saying "how long are you gonna be a fan?" etc to him which is not answering his questions and opinions, its childish responses because they don't want to hear any constructive criticism. FFS we all use to moan about FFC every day why can't we moan about AFC? It's what fans do! And fans are ambitious, and in this case I think some fans (surely not just me and Stuart) are more ambitious than the club. I can't wait to be proved wrong when we start buying players good enough to get us back into league football but will it happen? I know that a lot of the fans have made some really good mates with players but to me thats not what a football club is about! Its all very nice and cosy, but its time to get the quality we need to get out of CCL football.

SW19, - Thursday, September 12, 2002 at 07:42:04 (PDT)
Martin D, I never started supporting Wimbledon for the glory!!! I supported them because they were my local club and I fell in love with, Segers, Fash and Vinny and just kept going back. I will never be dissapointed watching Wimbledon but I will get frustrated if I think we blew the chance to grow. From what I understand of non-league football, there is not that big a gap wage wise between CCL and Rymans 1st or prem. We need Ryman Prem or very good 1st div players to get where we want. Not being funny but I can't imagine it beinmg too hard to sell the club to a player from a Ryman Prem player. Just invite him to a home game and say, 'Do you fancy this each week instead of your normal 400 regulars'. I dont care if they dont love the club, thats not important to me, I just want promotion, it would be nice this year, but next year is a must. I dont play or watch football to be second best!!! And if your only ambition is to be a Sutton or Aldershot then I find that worrying.
Stuart D
- Thursday, September 12, 2002 at 06:35:58 (PDT)
So Stu, what would you have the club do? Pay players a lot now and possibly jeopardise our long-term future? It's looking like we will be too far behind by xmas and will have to wait until next year anyway. I don't see your point, above and beyond that you want us to win every game (which of course we all do) And what exactly is wrong with being a Sutton or Aldershot? If you are in this to get back to our glory days in the Premiership, I worry that you are going to be very disappointed. It probably won't ever happen again mate.
Martin D
- Thursday, September 12, 2002 at 06:28:42 (PDT)
Martin. I dont think you understand my way of thinking or are just trying to be awkward. We have only played a handful of games but we need to be in the stricking pack to have any chance of promotion. I personally dont think this league is that dificult to get out of, but it is if we keep the same 11 players. WE have to add the new players gradually, postion by position, but if we are to far away by xmas we may aswell wait to the next season. I hope that the chairman doesnt have the same views as you concerning its the people who decide to no longer go. Because it will be the clubs loss and will be silly to lose the great momentum we have now. I hope that the club and chairmans ambition matches the fans. I just think if you are going to charge £8 per game and also have a massive sponsorship deal then you should improve the team. Personally I will always go as I am addicted to the team just like the last 12 years that I have been going. I would just like us to progress and not become a Sutton United or Aldershot. That would be silly concerning the opportunity we have.
Stuart D
Wallington, - Thursday, September 12, 2002 at 03:56:51 (PDT)
Sorry Stu, but you still don't make any sense. You stay you want us to "stay with the top 3 or 4" (as of course we all would like) but the fact is the top 3 or 4 have won all their games bar one (when Withdean lost to Wallingford) As for fans not staying if we don't get promoted (which we won't IMHO) then we will have do without them next season. It's their loss. I'm in this for the long haul, how about you?
Martin D
- Thursday, September 12, 2002 at 01:51:05 (PDT)
TW,Sounds like we have the same way of thinking. I took over the team I used to play for and they had won nothing since they started 10 years ago. I got a pacey centre forward a silky midfielder and a centre half who could welley the ball. We used to knock the ball long, use the pace and then all join in the box. Yes, it wasnt pretty, but I dint want to win a glamour show, I wanted to win trophies. That season I won the league and cup double!!! I then quit at the top and become under the thumb as Mr Raymond puts it!!! I believe fans want results over entertainment nowadays in the non-leagues. Because entertainment comes from scoring goals and winning games. Not passing the ball to death. WE should start a campaign. What do we want? More LONG Balls... when do we want it ? NOW

Martin D, I think your the one confused!!!!! I want us to stay with the pace setter ie: stay with the top 3 or 4 so when we get players in we are in a position to attack and not lying in 10th place with more chance of shagging the queen than catching up. Seeping all before us means going top now and staying their!!! Also wouldnt be so sure about fnas not going next season if we dont get promotion. You seem to cock sure of this, I can only go by when I speak to people on matchdays and mates who go. Granted, this doesnt speak for all 3 - 4000 fans that go at the moment.

Lets see if I can get a response on this board. On TalkSport this afternoon the business corresspondent mentioned that Walmart (owners of ASDA) are/may be taking over Safeways (owners of a nice piece of land on Plough Lane). Stuart D, I completely agree about the spine of a team. I have always been of the opinion that you build through the middle. To be absolutely honest I used to go Goalkeeper, Brick Outhouse (CH) and Muscle Thumper (CF) and , as you say, let the rest take care of themselves. In fact I feel in non league, (and I know this will upset lots of others),take the players to a game on a leash, feed them raw liver and tell them, "Ball, Goal, Kick." Not for the purist and very simplistic and basic but has been known to work.

Another helpful anonymous posting. Meanwhile, Stu, I'm confused by your comments because whilst you say you DON'T expect us to "sweep all before us" you DO want us to "keep up with the pace-setters", which currently DOES mean sweeping all before us (as Ash and Wallingford have) Of course everyone wants us to win every game as they have done, but we must be realistic. I personally don't think we will lose loads of support next season (whatever division) as there are enough committed people working hard to make this a club that everyone should be proud of, regardless of results.

I understand everyone's frustrations, but we must be in this for the long haul, whatever the results. Please remember that if it wasn't for an extremely unfortunate hand-ball (and red card decision) our current team, MINUS Schimmel, would have got at least a draw AWAY at the runaway league leaders.

TW, I totally understand what you say and I agree with most of what you say. I dont think we should expect to sweep all before us. And I never said we should make wholesale changes either. I think we need to add to the squad gradually but not take to long with it either. Since we got the new goalkeeper we look miles more confident at the back and also it is miles better now we have Coops up front. But I just feel that the spine of the team is week. I have managed and coached aswell and my teams were always based on a 2 strong centre halfs, two solid midfielders and 2 if not 1 decent centre forward. The rest of the team sorted itself out during the season but we were always strong through the middle.Especially in this league were the ball 9 times out of 10 against us goes long, we need guys who can look after themselves.

Stuart D, I respect your opinion but to expect a newly formed club to sweep all before it is being unrealistic. I have played, refereed, coached and managed in the game. I've also watched from park to international football and I know that you have to learn to walk before you can run. When this new team starts to learn how to play together you may well start to see the results for which you hope. Until then to start bringing in several new players will only serve to unsettle the team building programme that the AFC management has chosen. If a better class player comes along well and good but to actively start looking, at the moment, will undermine the confidence of the existing players.

TBFTCC, I get a bit tired of the Aldershot comparisons. They may have 2000 attendances, but we aint gone below 3000 in the home games so far. Also I dont believe Aldershot had a six figure sponsorship deal or charged the same prices we do. TW. Im 28 years young and have followed football since I could spit. I watch probally 4-5 games a week eith live or on TV and I belive I have a good enough knowledge of football to srike my own opinion. I agree that we have achieved alot in a short space of time, but this league is like a mile run in athletics, if we dont keep up with the pace setters, we will have more chance of Getting the queen to be a season ticket holder, than finshing 2nd or 3rd. I seriously believe that if we dont get promotion in the first season we will lose alot of the fan base very quickly, especially at £8-£10 an game at this level. We should think big, because we pay big.

Is it the media shorthand version of 'Wimbledon's dramatic rise from non-league to Premier division' that makes us forget how long it took to put together a consistently successful team back then? In reality we were up and down between the divisions like a whore's drawers after entering the league and some seasons, like 1979-80, were pretty awful. It wasn't until 1982-83 that we started to achieve consistent success under Harry. Now is a time for patience and a time to marvel at what has been achieved in the name of AFC Wimbledon (and everything that is worthwile about football)in a few short months. We are not helping Terry if we pile on extra pressure by expecting too much of the squad he currently has. While playing in front of Nationwide 3rd Division sized crowds every week is a great motivator for the players, don't underestimate the pressure it places on them, as well as motivating the opposition. Maybe we'll have to wait, maybe we won't make it this season, but I'll still be doing the 180+ mile round trip for this week's game. I still believe.

For the last six seasons of the 1990's Ashford Town (Middx) were champions of the CCL five times, In the next season they were promoted for the old Ryman 3 to Ryman 2 and last season they were mid table in Ryman 2........ This season their are third from bottom of the Ryman 1 south.......... Aldershot Town were formed ten years ago, have gates of nearly 2000 and are only in the Ryman Premier. .... Just have a think about it eh!

I can tell from the postings that some come from a younger. Have patience. These days there are micro-wave meals, instant coffee and Kwik-Fit, but football 'aint like that. Take a long sensible look at what AFC HAS achieved and it will show from nothing to a loved and respected club in days. Even a Porsche hasn't got that much acceleration.

Probably an unecessary thing to say to AUFC fan as comments are constructive but very appropriate the word 'cosh' to be used against the defence! Stuart D I understand the frustration and yes if one wants to be honest about it Andy Bell had to go and we have a good keeper now. I am not going to pick on certain players but this is an example of how Terry is obviously looking out and finding replacements for basically what were originally volenteers. It may be slow but we have to think a long way away from the Premier League etc. In terms of good players I feel Johnson and Sidwell are excellent and Sheerin presumably have played for Chelsea, if only for 20 minutes, has enough in him to score 50 goals a season with Kevin Cooper. It just needs that first goal. I would also have to say that KC has a bit of Andy Cole in him in that his percentage of chances taken is not as he would hope and I do not think Joe has received the greatest of service from him. I have certainly not given up on promotion by September 10th, but we have to be realistic that to get in the top 2 in any league from nothing is really difficult in the first year. Let's all panic next year.

On view, in the game against us, I would say out of the 11 that played, IMO, you would be in Ryman 1 for a few years. Sheerin is a quality player, who just needs a couple of goals, Cooper will get goals in our league, but in a higher level he would get found out as he's all right foot. Thought the defence looked okay, until they came under the cosh, played some good football, but got caught in silly areas over playing. The midfield I can't remember much of, as you seemed to bypass them quite a lot.

It would be nice that when and if players are criticised by Dons fans that their names could be spelt correctly. It is Sheerin who is struggling to score in a brothel and not Sherrin!!

Richard B, why is it when anyone questions AFC they say its just because of a few bad results and that we should all pack it in. I will go religiously (when allowed of course) as I did with FFC, but I have not been totally happy with what I have seen after we had victories. I look at it that we should be building a team to handle itself in the Ryman next year. We saw from pre-season that the ryman teams were a better class than what we have. Even if it was our first few games as a team, everyone who konows about football could see the gulf in class. I will put it another way then, please name the players you think whould get us out of the ryman 1st from this bunch of players????

Wibbly, mate I watch football of every standard from premiership to non league. I think I have a fair idea of who is a good player and who is not, and of course it is only my opinion. It is obvious that Sherrin has a niggling injury and yet we play him every game and 9 times out of 10 sub him in the second half. Sherrin is ok, but how many goals has he scored this season??? I watched nearly all of the pre season and have watched 4 of the league games and I personally thought he ould be a great signing but im losing patience. Sorry Paul if Sim looks at the site, but I think against the big teams in this division, Sim will struggle. Sorry if I upset people but thats how I see it. One major problem we have with fans is that because they are approachable and friendly, we all of a sudden become thier mates and it makes it even harder to see thier faults. I will always remember these set of players as being the start of a new era but im also realistic. I remember when we used to visit the PL at Selhurst and I got on very well with John Hartson and I never saw one fault with him and thought he was the best player we ever had. It was because I become mates with him that I had the wool pulled over my eyes. It was the same with Willo, but then thats a different story, isnt it Mr Raymond??? WE used to hang around him for the ladies????? Why did he start going out with Leyana this season and not last!!!!

Stuart, which games have you been watching, admittedly Sim had a nightmare on Saturday but that was IMO his 1st stinker and as for Sheerin, speak to anyone who knows anything about football and they will tell yo that Joe is a class above, why do you think that Coops has scored most of his goals it certainly aint through his individual skills its a team game Joe holds the ball well has some nice flicks and usually has 2 or 3 opposition players around hime thus creating more room for others, but I do agree about Robson im afraid and it would be nice to have a Paul Ince type in Midfield and an Alan shearer type up front as an foil for Joe and Coops

I agree with you Richard the standard of Football can be quite good in the SHL. I have also watched some so called top flight games at massive cost that have been a waste of time and money. You are sponsored by the lot that produce the Championship Manager game and anyone who has played it knows it isent that easy to run a team, give the players and managment a chance, its early days yet with loads of games to play. On and I assume the FFC you talk about is the MK Dons lot and not us!!!

Dear Me!!! It only takes a couple of less cgood results and everyone is packing it all in! This idea of trying to change the team drastically at this stage is totally ridiculous. There are undoubtably some weaknesses, though Sim is certainly not one of them, but give Terry a chance. Clearly many non league players would rather come down a couple of divisions to play in front of 3,500 and Terry needs time to get them, but not with the Cheque Book. Some FFC supporter called Phil Taylor was suggesting that when the weather turned people would go back to Selhurst which takes being a fairly waether supporter to another level! I hope that as somehow 968 FFC supporters turning up is not a case of people forgetting what all this is about. As for the complaint it is only Park Football, I have been pleasantly surprised at the level, having gone and watched the crap on show at Margate v Stevenage over the weekend I know what I would rather watch. For goodness keep the faith and if you can't then bugger off now.

I have to say that we should by now know what arreas we need to improve on and be getting replacements. I think we have to get past thinking that because the players started of with us and come down to the trials that they should get more time. I think we all know what areas we need improvement on. We have to act fast and get in these players. Its alright saying that we have played expeerienced teams and so forth, but we have proved that in the big games against teams we need to beat, we just havent got enough about us. The way I have always seen non-league, is that you need certain styles of teams to get put of certain divisions. This one I think you need a big, tall, strong team and thats what we are getting beaten by. Unfortunalty we are used to settled sides and find it hard to accept players can be here one minute and gone the next. I personally would get rid of Neil Robson, Sherrin, and one of the centre halfs and replace them. I know peolpe like Sim but I think he is a weekness against big teams. The three players I have mentioned pley right through the middle of the park and thats got to be the srongest. Unfortunatly it is our weekness and will be our downfall. We desperatly need promotion this season to keep the interest, and I Personally think we should put some money into the team this season at all cost to get promotion. If we dont fans WILL become frustrated no matter what people say. I get frustrated when people say ' we didnt have a team 3 months ago'. Well the honeymoon period is over and we have to get better staff in. I also know I will be slaughtered for this, but I am not totally convinsed by the manager, I know he a good personallity but some of his decisions are strange to say the least. Rant over

Many messageboars get junk postings. Most web-masters end up deleting offensive, and tracking down where they come from. I've seen a couple of sites issueing abuse warnings, saying they can report the poster back to their employer, this tends to have the desired effect. Most of these pernicious postings come from people with nothing to do at work.

Agree with MFF, how can you expect a team put together a couple of weeks before the start of the season to be storming the league. Remember Alex Ferguson had a few lean years before building MUFC into undisputed champions of the 90's - it takes time to get the team right. Some WFC supporters watched the team in non-league football for years before they hit the big time. We are building from the ground up - it takes time, have some patience.

I think there a few reasons you are struggling a bit. Don't forget most teams in the CCL/SHL have been playing together for a few years and just a couple of new players join each year, not the whole squad. Every team that plays you is playing a 'cup final', so are seriously up for it. Also I don't think there is that much of a gap between the SHL and the Rymans. I don't know your manager but has he ever played against any of the other SHL teams? And Re money you have massive expenses playing at Kingstonian that most other team have not got to pay out having there own ground. I think you will get better as the season goes on but will do well to finish 5th/6th.

Dont forget that a lot of the clubs we visit have income coming in 7 days a week via club houses until we have our own ground we miss out on that income. Also a lot of the players have played together for a while and therefore use the same set peices week in week out.

Eastdons - I think it comes down to two things, 1) I think we have been unlucky in that we have played in our early games a number of the strong teams and not had a chance to get a consistent run together. 2) You have to remember that the players are on expenses and just because we believe we have a large sum of money in the bank we can go splashing it out on players otherwise this turns in to the "nationwide syndrome" where all of a sudden we find that our costs are higher than our income. I think the players we have are doing well and although we might not storm the division we are learning.

Paul, simple solution for this. Just shut the guestbook down for a week and these knobs will go away. Its drastic, but so are these people for supporting FFC. Was so happy when Liecester scored the winner yesterday. Its going to be a long season in the CCL, but we all knew that and there is still a bloody long way to go. I personally still think we will get promoted this season anyway. It seams the league is a little stronger than last year and I can see their being a 30 point gap between 2nd and 3rd this season.
