Ed Don: the day you drag me anywhere I'll be in my wooden overcoat! You were two when I took you to tour first Dons game so betwen(just) us two the Norwegians have stolen sixty seven years of passion, tradition and history. There are many more supporters with long family connections. I can see how MK townfolk can steal our club without compunction. After all the "Roundabout Realm" has no real tradition, other than being the home of "Aggreate Bovines." Perhaps the MKFFC will eventually be sponsored by Blue Circle Cement?

Malcolm Hudson / James Hayne. If you're Watford, what are you doing even contemplating going to watch a potential first division rival? You should be at Vicarage road, end of. Although from what you say, you and your mates deserve MKFC and all the arse that'll come with it!

Apparently there are only 1,000 tickets for AFC fans at Ash which seems strange as they cannot possibly have a smaller capacity than Sandhurst unless they only have half a pitch. If it is going to be a scrum for tickets by Season Ticket holders and Trust members then I would suggest ordering direct from Ash Utd. on the Ash Utd.#2 site on the CCL link and order direct as they are available from this saturday, do not say I did not mention it!
PAUL, I have to ask why do you spend so time answering the same pretend question from this Watford supporter, Eugene, Francis, James, Billy, Bobby or whatever this muti personality likes to be known surely if he is in that much need of attention the Samaratans would be a better bet.

Edinburgh, 'they' don't accept it. The FSF lead campaign is about killing off franchising, and, by default, the first franchise has to go - that's other fans talking and not me.

Who says they're going to move? That presupposes that the people in MK even WANT a team and that the football world isn't prepared to kill Koppel's nightmare.

You said it Pal - they will be a second choice team for people interested in Utd, Arsenal etc. Sure you may well turn up if the likes of Chelsea or Liverpool are in town, but can you honestly say you will turn out for games against, say, Grimsby and Gillingham? Even if the prats owning the club plough millions in - that is no guarantee of premiership football - just ask Wolves.

Luton? Luton? bloody Luton? who wants to see them i hate them they can go to hell they r my worst enermy and millwall.
I live in Milton Keynes i support Watford u already know that but when or if wimbledon do move up here they will become my second team coz they are local and its not far to go and see a good game apart from the Watford millwall game that was crap more like youth football, and they will get strong attendences because all my friends support teams like the utd's, arsenals, and chelsea's and they say that wimbledon will be their second team so i think wimbledon will do ok up here on their attendence side.
i've got a suggestion on who the afc team can buy..........dele adabola he's been released from birmingham i reckon watford should get him myself but there u go the colapse in the itv digital has almost put us out of buisness y didn't elton john put £30 million in the funds every five years i dont know.

A few people seem to be asking the questions such as "do we care about WFC anymore" and "will we stop protesting when the move is all but sealed". I would suggest that most Dons fans now accept that our old football club is dead and buried. If it goes to MK it is obviously not the same club but if, somehow, the FA plucks up enough bollocks to stop Koppell, he will liquidate the club anyway. WFC as we know and love is finished. However, I think we all realised a long time ago that this whole thing is bigger than just our club. The precedent is set and it is now a matter of "when", not "if" another crooked chairman cites a 'unique problem' as justification for another scheme like this. So, MKFC can now rot, but I think the protests (by whatever justifiable means) must continue.

Malcolm - regarding last saturday at Selhurst I wasn't there but people went for two reason 1) An anti franchising demo 2) to say goodbye to what used to be our club. In future I would imaginee that all fans will be at AFCW games but doesn't mean that the protest wont continue in the media.

Billy Chapman - I understand that you are a watford fan will you be watching Luton this year? No didn't think so. Why because theey are not your team, just as "Wimbledon FC" are not out team our team is AFC Wimbledon. I dont care what happens to "Wimbledon FC" and to be honest as soon as they depart for the metropolis that is Milton Keynes and change there name the better. As mentioned before if you want to talk about "Wimbledon FC" find another site if you wish to chat about AFC Wimbledon stick around.

Let me say right away that this posting about beating them twice was only ever done in fun as nothing was further from my mind about upseting them about beating them twice , mind you as one of our fans pointed on on their message if we had won the CCL we would'nt have minded being beaten twice by them!

coz of the state of the crowds only 23 turned up on tuesday night to see their first point of the season.
when they move up to mk they WILL get alot more support than what your giving them but they wont win their first game in mk coz the mighty Watford will crush them then after that hopefully they can start winning more games i would like to see them beat teams like Coventry, Walsal and Wolves coz they will be our local derby's.

Paperdon, people called the players scum because even though they are simply employees they have still done and said nothing when they could have made a difference. I think over the last year many people have realised that our old heroes really couldn't give a monkeys about us and all the celebrations/kissing the shirt is just part of the job. It particularly hurt when players who we thought were Wimbledon through and through like Ardley and Blackwell refused to speak out even though their contracts were virtually up. As long as they get their vastly over-inflated salaries, that is seemingly all that matters to them. Their ignorance and willingness to buy Koppel's lies further alienated them from the fans. People now regard them as MKFC players, not ours, and hence worthy of loathing and abuse by the whole of football. And yes, I do feel sorry for them, but they could have done more to stop this happening and I feel more sorry for other club employees who have been sacked and were not on huge wages. All it takes for Koppel to prosper is for good men to do nothing.

Paper Don - the chants were made because people were so angry and needed to vent that soemhow. The FFC team coach when it arrived was an obvious target - what did you expect a chant of 'Come on you Dons' and a standing ovation. Remember these are the same players (apart from Shipps) who ignored us when they left the pitch at the last EVER Wimbledon FC game. Do I feel sorry for them - NOPE

Does evry1 jump back on the bandwagon and head back to the original team or stick with the new boys. Exactly right Paul, well said. Quite what Bobby Chapman and Phil Beds (both pretty dubious names) thought was going to happen I do not know. Do not think that it is purely the Wimbledon fans who are so upset about this move, you just wait till Brighton go there in a couple of weeks. They have been through it all before and you will hear even more abuse and this time inside the ground. Rusdhen & Diamonds are hated wherever they go and this MKW Diamonds etc. will have the same thing at every game wherever they play.
Do you hear the supporter?!? who was asked on Saturday by Radio 5 Live why he was still going said it was out of LOYALTY but when they were moving to MK he would be supporting Charlton! Well that is the sort of loyalty that Koppel has shown us.

Regarding Saturday I didn't go and havent covered it on the site. Saturday was done for two reasons 1) A demonstartion against Franchising 2) A fairwell to a club that fans have supported all there lives. - AFC Wimbledon didn't have a game Saturday but from now on we are playing every week so I think it's safe to say that there wont be demonstartions from us. And to the people from Bucks why dont you start bussing people down to boost the crowd or dont you want to travel 70 miles!

After all the abuse and protesting those wombles fans were giving them after the Gillingham match on Saturday im not surprosed they want to move. The support the fans gave them on saturday could of field only a quarter of the smallest stand where as when they move to MK they will have a much bigger attendance where they will hopefully start winning games and pushing for promotion into the premiership.

Right. I'm not taking the mickey here or being out of line whatsoever. I was just wondering why you still have the Division 1 table link and player info links for the MK Dons on this site. Surely if they're in the past, you should think about getting rid of those links?????

Sean - Do you think the FA are bothered about rules being broken? No neither do I. To be honest the sooner they move the better in my eyes. I wont be at Selhurst Saturday as I have moved on we wont get it back and to be honest what is there to take back anyway.

Franchise on the run to Milton Keynes soon news story that 12,000 seater temporary stadium application has bene submitted so there you go antoher rule broken. Another link broken, another failure to consult the supporters, now let methink could facilities at a temporary stadium be of the standard of those at a permanent stadium?

Paul, Far from me to tell you how to run your site but these endless futile messages from you know who are doing the credibility of the site no good at all. Your is the first one I always look at but the rubbish written over the last couple of days from one or more people who spend there entire school holidays desperate for some attention is doing the club no good at all. There are so many more things to discuss, such as is the Ash Utd. game, on Bank Holiday Monday, an all voucher game? But please can you get about more like Pravda and stop too much of this chat that they would even cut from Big Brother.

All you loyal Dons fans out there, just ignore little people like Eugene, Francis, Matt Nicholls and James Hayne. They think they're funny, but they're not. And by the way Paul, please could you tell me the prices for AFC Wimbledon season tickets next year. I'm really looking forward to seeing the (REAL!) mighty Dons next season. Cheers!

Hello again. I was just wondering how unfair it is to put a team who has started from nothing into a low non-league league. Compare this to Buckingham Town, who have a rich history but have had to work their way from the bottom and yet are still not as high as you. Why should you get an automatically high league entry? You're not even that good!

Come on the addicks Come on the addicks Have a thrilling time in the CCl. Wow! what a league. From the evidence from this site, the crowds seem amazing. The 26,000 we get at the Valley looks like the biggest ground in the world compared to your league!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come on the addicks

Sandhurst Town is actually one of the larger grounds! The voucher system may well be used at many other venues, although it is unlikely we will take 2,000 to every away game IMO.

Komarca Don, I do not think they are any better tahn AFCW except they knew each others names. Also along with Bracknell were very good at shouting. I am afraid I left after 20 minutes, at 1-0 to Sandhurst, as I only wanted the voucher and to see where the ground was. Crowd was about 70, presumably mostly friends and relatives and bizarrely they did not exactly force the vouchers on the fans. You did have to ask for them and then they replied how many!
Richard B another Wiltshire Don
- Wednesday, August 07, 2002 at 08:52:17 (PDT)
RichardB, Interesting that you went to the Sandhurst freindly - I did see on their web site that they were giving vouchers away for a couple of these matches. At the risk of attracting the little boys again, how do they compare to the Dons. They seem, from last season's stats to be one of the more average sides in the CCL finishing 13th with 16-6-20 & 73-74. Also, finished 17th in the CCL "Fair Play league" with 61pts, so we can expect some bruises come the 17th.

Went to the Sandhurst v Bracknell game yesterday to have a look at the ground and more importantly get a voucher as not very good at waiting for the Postman. Nice setting and marginally different to the San Siro. Seating capacity of 3, no lights in the loos, parking will be rubbish but on the plus side in the middle of a nature reserve and a very good pitch. There cannot be any teams with a lower capacity as it is just railings round the ground so hopefully this all ticket thing will be the exception to the rule. Roll on August 17th and hopefully by then this endlees stream of adoloscent naivity we keep hearing from Buckingshire will have ceased.

Francis - The guestbook is for discussing issues of AFC Wimbledon. With regards to your comment of "It's only a game" not true in the Nationwide/Premiership it should be "It's only a business" - Regarding good standard of football in your village 1) it's not there yet 2) what happens if it gets off to a bad start are you suggesting that you wont watch your team of world beaters.

Francis, How would you feel if after 10-20 years of supporting MK at their new location, they suddenly decided to re-locate to, say, Dublin? Would you feel cheated or betrayed? Try to think about how real Wimbledon supporters feel and yes it's a free country, but taht also means others are free to remonstrate with you for your views!

Aight Paul and others. And we thought the old idiots posting on here were bad? Now we've got MK fools telling us what a success it will be, Palace "fans" from Buckingham (WTF?) telling us not to support our local team because it's in a lower league and Charlton glory-hunters with very short memories. Zac - regarding tickets, I think it's safe to say that demand for away tickets will drop off as the season goes on. Order if games are all ticket will always be 1) Season Tickets 2) Dons Trust 3) Open sale. If you are sending in your application you could always ask for a voucher at the same time.
